Blistered
I bought these boots based on design and recommendation. They arrived and I looked at them. Right out of the box they appeared to be a bit narrow, but otherwise, they seemed to be built well, the crafting was good, and the soles were very aggressive. Something I liked.I now have a 1-inch (25mm) circumference blister on my left heel. The right boot fits much better than the left. I understand that my feet may vary too. But both are tight across the top of the foot in the plantar area.I've worn them so returning is out of the question. If you buy them, know that they run small in more than one place. You might want to invest in some moleskin until they form to your feet if you have anything other than a smaller than average foot for the size boot you typically wear.

Shoe lace eyelets broke within 1 week
I wore these boots for about a week and the shoe laces, which often come untied, caused the eyelets to start to tear. Kind of pathetic for an expensive hiking boot. First time trying this brand, I will stick to others.

climbing boot w/ chainsaw protective qualities
The media could not be loaded. Great price, very comfortable & although it is not advertised as a chainsaw protective climbing / boot shoe this company sells shoes for hiking & rock climbing but this shoe is definitely used in tree service as one of the top 5 climbing shoes - bootsApart from this type this company sells many other bad ass kinds of boots & shoesThese are compatible with pole gaffs / spikes & foot ascenders.

Pleasantly surprised...
I purchased these boots to replace a pair of worn out Scarpa boots that had lasted me a number of years. I wasn't expecting these Salewa boots to be anywhere near as comfortable and was almost expecting to send them back.I went half a size up as a lot of reviews had suggested and was very pleased with the fit. They are extremely comfortable and feel more like a trainer when on than a walking boot. The sole has really good grip and I have sloshed through some decent mud with the dog this year and haven't had any waterproofing issues either. They are maybe a touch shorter in height than a traditional walking boot and the lacing system gave my hands a bit of a battering as they aren't the easiest to tighten up due to the slightly strange eyeing arrangements. However once done I haven't had to re tighten them and they are up there with the most comfortable shoes that I own. Well worth considering as an alternative to your scarpa, lowa, meindls etc. Just watch that size up or try a pair first before shopping here.

Between a trail running shoe and walking boots.
The boots fit well. I am normally size 7-7.5, i ordered size 8.5 and it is perfect, i have room, so my toe not push the end when i am hiking down on a steep part.I tried it, and i had different terrain and was 24km, up rocky, mudy, wet part hiking and climbing. On wet stone was a little bit slippery but no boots' sole is not sleppery on wet and mudy stone. On grassy ground, or swamp was good too. First wear i got a little blister on my heel - but i think it was because of the socks too. The sole flexible but still enough hard to keep, but no bulky feeling. It is somewhere between a trail running shoes and a simple walking boots. Perfect if you need a little bit climb too, or it is very rocky. I am happy i bought it. I don't know how waterproof it is, in the swamp i sank and my feet stayed dry.

Sturdy boot
Have been wearing this boot for a few weeks now, averaging about 5k a day. Waterproofing seems to be holding up despite not being gortex. Haven’t been caught in a heavy downpour yet though.Good traction underfoot. My biggest issue with these boots is that the soles are solid and not very cushioned. After about 4.5k the soles of my feet are becoming sore and uncomfortable. I’m hoping they will soften in time but not holding my breath

Great boots
Really comfy boot. They run a little small, so I exchanged for a half size up. Still a bit snug as quite narrow at the toe but feel like they'll wear in nicely to be a good fit, and would be good for people with narrower foot at the toe. Warmer than I expected so will be using in spring/autumn rather than a summer boot. Have worn them in on some shorter hikes and very comfy and good grip even in the wet. They look really nice as well, obviously that comes after comfort but it is nice that they are very pretty!

Fit is good but little the the way of pading
The boot is technically very good. But as long as right for you.If the fit was as normal for size but little in the way of padding. So it doesn't fit if you have lump a and bumps in your ankle. Please try these if you have an narrow fit but it doesn't have much in the way of padding and would not recommend these for winter months.
