Vax ECJ1PAV1 Rapid Power Advance Carpet Cleaner, Plastic, 6.2 liters, Grey/Purple

Bought to give my Mothers carpets that have never been cleaned a good good going over. Did every room in the house apart from the tiled kitchen and bathroom. Easy to fit together and looks well built. My only three criticism is the wheels on it feel cheaply done, really compared to the rugged rest it’s a puzzle why they appear so flimsy, the power cord comes out the machine at the very bottom so you feel you could stand on it easy and the extending attachment hose for the stairs is too short ( you need to use it from the top down a few stairs and them place it a few stairs up to manage). The rest of the machine appears well made, everything giving that reassuring click on use. Pleasantly surprised at how good the attachment for the stairs worked considering you don’t have the full scrubbing power of the main vac. Press it and it sprays product and then swap to rinse and repeat procedure.We bought a 1.5L bottle of solution but used only the two free 250ml bottles that came with the machine partly because even with auto mix it empties the 250ml bottle in a room easy. So took advice form users and only used one cap fulls from the 250ml bottles I’d say 40-50ml max per fill up and to me the cleaning was just the same without wasteful use of too much product. Great option to have a rinse setting to only use clean water without product solution to go over the carpet again to remove all the chemicals from the cleaner. Ok I went over the carpet without adding any water at the end by not pressing the trigger to dry it more to finish up but the carpet was dry within a few hours windows open even at this time of year winter. In the summer can only imagine even quicker.In all great wet-vac that after use was packed away dry for next use in March or April when the car mats ( non rubber) will also be given a good going over as well as the carpets just cleaned only using the quick wash setting, used the deep clean first time around.I actually seen the item in PCWorld before ordering off Amazon. Why would you pay £100 more just to take home that day when within three days it was delivered free to the door when ordered from here. Vax 6 year guarantee the cherry on the cake and was actually filled in today after I packed it away for next use.

Brilliant machine, have used a variety of different carpet cleaners both professional ones and non, but this dose as it says on the box, got two settings one for deep clean and one for quick clean, which is great as a water saving and drying time, however I found when on deep clean if u go a bit slower over the area it picks up a great deal of water which helps the drying time. Very easy to use with separate compartments for both the water and cleaning solution. Product came well boxed but it was heavy.. easy to put together.

I bought this cleaner based on the reviews and 6 year guarantee. It is easy to use and certainly lifts the dirt. I only have rugs to clean, one wash got rid of most marks but a second wash is necessary for stubborn ones. The rugs took a couple of days to dry, not an hour. This might be due to my inexperience using the machine. All in all it appears to be a good machine. A little plasticy but works well.

With a labrador with a love of rolling in mud out carpet and rugs had seen better days so we decided to give this a try to hopefully restore our carpets and it has brought them up like new! Truthfully though for the rugs and the highly soiled areas the upholstery attachment did the best job as you could target areas easily (and then ran over with the machine to help suck up all the excess water) but now the areas are clean I imagine using the upright will be more than sufficient every few months. We wish we had bought it sooner as it has even helped lift the pile on the high traffic areas which I was not expecting. Its heavy, loud and cumbersome so if you have issues with your hands this would not work well for you, but its very much worth it for the results. Many have commented on the upholstry sprayer spraying out the side and this does happen, but honestly it was not a big deal for us. If you use the head without pressing the trigger it sucks the water back up instantly. Another big plus is that it is pretty dry instantly and fully dry in an hour which is brilliant if you cannot afford for the area to be out of bounds for long periods of time. We have only used it twice so I will update if anything changes but so far we are really enjoying it!

We have a Vax vacuum cleaner and have been really happy with the performance. It made our old Dyson look like a Fischer-Price toy. So when we considered buying a carpet cleaner, we naturally turned to Vax again.It’s a hundred times better than the rental machines. Lighter and easier to use in all conditions. And it does an excellent job on cleaning. You’ll notice the difference immediately.Highly recommend
