Silicon Power 1TB SDXC Micro SD Card Gaming Memory Card, Compatible with Nintendo-Switch and Steam Deck

Recent Switch models such as the OLED thankfully increased their compatibility with microSD cards. They can go up to 2 TB, which is well outside my price range, but I was thankfully able to get this 1 TB card for a good price during the Black Friday sale. It works well, and 1 TB is a good capacity for a Nintendo Switch. Holds more than a healthy supply of downloaded games even if you want a bunch of space for screenshots and videos; great for people like me, who prefer digital purchases in general, or for people who take their Switch travelling and would rather not carry too many physical gamecards. I've been running games off it for a few days and have had no issues.

I had a micro SD card that I tried to use in my Switch but wasn't fast enough. The loading time and the lag was very noticeable. Upon doing a little bit of research, I came across this micro SD card, read the reviews and it seemed like this card was what I was looking for so I decided to buy it as the specs on it seem to be what the Switch requires to play games smoothly and without lag. Upon receiving it, I inserted it into the Switch, proceeded to format it and downloaded the games on it. After the downloads finished, I started playing the games and right away I could tell the difference. Gameplay is very smooth and there's hardly any lag on any game I played. I've downloaded quite a few games on the card and there is still so much space left in it! Now I started to think I didn't actually need a 1TB card lol. Oh well....my review is specifically for the quality and the read/write speed this card can handle and I can say with great certainty that this micro SD card delivers! I'm happy with it and if you're looking for a micro SD card for the Switch or other device that requires fast read/write speeds, this card will definitely do the job! It hasn't been that long since I started using this card. If anything changes sometime soon, I will give you an update but so far so good!

It's so cheap compared to the actual switch memory SSD cards and all my switch games worked on it! It's so worth it it's not exactly 1tb it's 900 something but it's still completely worth it. I used it for my Switch OLED. I highly recommend it ! Mine says 800 something already cause I was already testing out the SSD card to make sure it works properly and it does. Just make sure you format the SSD card before you start moving your games into it. You can do that by going to your switch settings it's pretty easy just YouTube it (

I bought this 1Tb micro sd card a year ago to put it in my Asus ROG Ally. When I got it, I installed a few games and played with my ROG Ally very casually for about 2 months and then I lost interest and moved on to other things. Yesterday, I noticed that prime gaming was giving away the tmnt video game and I thought it would be awesome to play it in my ROG Ally. I installed the game on the micro SD card and started having problems. Then I restarted the ROG Ally and noticed that the game was gone. I started troubleshooting this issue and tried copying some files to the SD card. Windows told me that the files were copied correctly and I would see them in the File Explorer, however, when clicked, I would get the message that the file was not found. After restarting the pc again, the files were gone. It was as if the micro SD card was frozen at some point in time. I tried formatting, diskpart, I moved the microsd card to my macbook and tried disk utility, but nothing worked. It seems that the micro SD card just decided to stop working. This has never happened to me before. This is truly disappointing! I am buying another micro SD card but this time I will spend the money and buy a more reputable brand. My question to you is, do you want to save $40 right now buying this micro SD card? or Do you want to feel that you lost $70 and potentially valuable photos, videos, and content in a year when this card decides to randomly stop working? I wish I had thought about this before buying this. Lesson learned.

I'm so glad I found this product. I got it for the Switch and it works as described and is compatible with it. It was easy to install and showed up right away. I will purchase more in the future. The quality of the item is as described.
