Not sure, because the fabric is so light I sprayed them with scotch guard and have not run into any problems.

Do your knees bump against the person sitting accross if you are sitting along the length of the table as the width is less?

Live by myself, so I don’t have anyone sitting across from me, but I don’t think your knees are going to touch the other person because your chair is out a little bit from the table
