EGO 56V Li-Ion 15" String Trimmer 2.0Ah Kit

I bought this model because I already had a battery. So for me, this model works. It doesn't have the auto wind string, but it's easy enough to wind the string anyways. Very powerful line trimmer. I love it.

This EGO Power 15 inch is stellar. One accu charge lasts for 38 minutes up to over 50 minutes, on medium to full blast. It cuts THROUGH 5 feet high dense weeds areas, all kinds of brushes, most thickets, and vines. Except 20 feet long vines which I simply cut off with a pruner. Other trimmers' accu charge last on my Florida backyard jungle up to 20 minutes MAXIMUM. I used the EGO ten times so far and ZERO complaints at all. The charger has an audible cooling unit built inside so I can recharge the accu without having to wait to let it cool off. FANTASTIC! The trimmer itself is long and heavy and YES it has a kind of armrest to put my right arm on which tremendously eases the heavy duty work I have to do. Prior the first cut, I bought myself security protective glasses, a baseball cap, some long leg fabric pants and shirts and security heavy duty outdoor sandals. This outfit helps IMMENSE to stay safe. This EGO trimmer on full blast has a top force to make small stones and wood chunks fly over 20 meters against walls, like straight shooting bullets. I had to learn to position the trimmer in the right angle on the ground areas to get the most efficiency out of it. If one needs to trim a lawn, a mower might be a better fit. If one needs a tool to get the real heavy stuff done, this it!

Love the Ego mower. This product is different: It's damn near impossible to put string on this thing. Although it's well made, it's not usable due to the almost unbelievable flaw with it's string mechanism. Again, I LOVE my Ego mower but this was a waste of money. I've used it for about fifteen minutes and I can already tell you that I'll be purchasing something else. Adding new string to this device is the definition of the word "nightmare". Stay FAR away. Complete waste of money. I'll go buy something else tomorrow. The mower is brilliant but this is a piece of garbage. My old Black and Decker was much easier to use. This is essentially junk. This may be the worst purchase I've ever made

This is a really nice trimmer, every bit as good as my previous, gas powered ones in function. It is much nicer to use, however than any other I have had. The lack of noise is a big benefit for me and I have never liked having a combustion engine that close to my face. Also, there is no effort to start the thing. Every gas powered one I have used was a pain to keep going, to the point where I wound up just not using the thing. With this I can move around my yard and pick it up whenever I need it, do some quick trimming, put it down. The batteries last a while and charge faster than I run them out, so having two for to swap out keeps me trimming and mowing (I have the EGO lawn mower too) as long as I need. I would give it 5 stars but I haven't been using it long enough to feel like I can comment on longevity or any of that, so I'll hold off for now.

I started with the EGO 21" Self Propelled battery mower and have been using it for 4 years with outstanding results. I broke down and bought the reconditioned Trimmer and Leaf Blower. I could not be more pleased. These units are all outstanding and, with the battery in place, are near perfectly balanced right at the trigger. You can't ask for anything more. Oh wait, did I tell you about the fully variable speed on each item? Simply amazing, seriously! Look and feel of a gas item offering the same result but the quiet and performance of a battery. No gas or oil to store and mix and starts every time. I wish the trimmer came with a guide for edging but it works and I am pleased with the outcome. The battery makes it so easy to use these items quickly without mixing gas or even getting out the long extension cord for my old plug in devices. Great job guys!
