Oh SON!
We all know how difficult it is to dispatch a raccoon. These things are extremely consistent in weight and shape. Excellent penetration for what I use it for. And drops the raccoon like a sack of potatoes. Yes, even in 177 caliber.

Don't shy away from the price; worth trying if you've not yet found the one your rifle prefers
For deep follow-through penetration, it's been a challenge to find anything quite as effective. They must have a very low drag coefficient as well because even though I don't own a chronograph, it's quite obvious that these pellets get down range in a HURRY!I'm using them in an earlier model Gamo Gen1 Swarm Whisper (not the Magnum) and it really likes these the most for consistent group accuracy even out to 50yds with this "weaker" Gamo Break-barrel to the point I'm able to get less than a 1" Center to Center. I do try to use sparingly due to the price but it's difficult to do when I KNOW that these Hornet's are going to find the mark. The ones I've received have thankfully come blister packed so I've not had a single deformed pellet. The Hard Copper point has been sent through 1" plywood, and even varying densities/thicknesses of metal alloy and the point is still sharp. Expansion after impact isn't very wide and usually results in a sort of teardrop shape. They've easily dropped small game from my budget spring-piston, break-barrels. I'd be remiss of I didn't add just how pretty they are due to whatever machining/molding composite process that H&N is using on thes 22 Hornets. Far better than the H&N "Silver Points" which seemed to have ALOT of flyers; you get what you pay for.

Very effective farming control.
These pellets will kill a raccoon instantly with a head shot. Worth everything they charge for them.

Make sure the point fits your magazine....
they look awesome but at least in the case of a .177 Sig Sauer P226 the points jam up as you try to load the magazine and it just does not work.

Best pellets money can buy
I read the worst reviews. If your container arrives so beat up, you cannot open it, post a bad review to the shipper - not the product. Air rifles are not like iPhone that work 100% out of the box - like anything with moving parts.... there is a break in period. Too many bad reviews with 'I just bought this rifle and..."I have 50 years of rifle and pistol competition experience. And a pigeon problem where none of those firearms are helpful. These pellets are extremely accurate to 75yards (as far as I have used them) in a Benjamin 22cal pump up - chronograph says 935fps. I am on my third tin of 200 (400 fired) and loving these. You will need a very thick backstop - they penetrate allot of plywood.Accuracy - I find it important to pump the rifle exactly the same each time. If you have a PCP don't assume sunshine and lollypops pressure time and time again. Beg or borrow a chronograph and run it. A smart bunny will not assume every pellet will fly like magic - start with the least expensive, work your way up and see what chronographs best in your rifle. This is a great way to break in your new rifle. Just because you have an expensive rifle and these very pricy projectiles - does not guarantee arrival in air gun heaven. These things will fly though a pigeon like a laser beam. Shot placement is important. The brass nose guarantees the feathers, fur, and hide of the animal is no issue..... hitting in a non-critical area will only wound. If you need to dispatch a critter at close range and not use a sight - don't use this projectile. Use a cheaper one with a flat nose.Hint: Once you are sighted in with these brass nose projectiles - run a few rounds of everything you can find and see who hits in the same place. This will be your cheap practice ammo. If the cheap hits 1" and 1" right - live with it. Leave the scope alone. If you have a mildot scope - this a learning opportunity to figure it out and self correct.Bottom line: In a properly broken in and maintained rifle - these are the bee's knees. If these do not work for you, and they are not damaged in shipping..... take the time to figure out exactly why. Because you very much want to use them for hunting.
