well built socket unit in bright orange colour in toughoned plastic built to last {expected Rubber One as it says on the packet to replace my old one] FITTED THE NEW SOCKET TODAY AND WORKS VERY EFFENTIALY would recomment both the socket and the suppliers to everyone,great service and recieved it and startd using it. Looks good
Out of the packaging it looks really good a quality item. On removing the two screws to open the unit, dear me, all the brass connections fell out. Little bit of a puzzle to put them back where they belonged. Three thin gauge brass strips bent to shape, not seen that before. It wired up nicely though and works fine holding the plugs firmly. No idea how long that will last with just bent to shape brass strip to hold them. If the body is rubber it’s a very hard sort more like plastic but seems tough. Overall it’s just the way modern stuff is made these days. For the price it looks good, easy to wire up if the innards don’t fall out and works fine.

Replacement for an old socket
I bought this to replace a really ancient plug that had finally given up. I wasn’t expecting the quality to be as good as it is. Pretty sure This will last a good time. Easy to wire up and works perfectly.

Opened this up and was reassured by the thick metal banding across the piece. Very reasonably priced too.

Extension Lead
I bought it to replace the sockets on an old extension reel. After a bit of use it still works well and appear quite solid. No complaints, easy to wire, does what you expect a socket to do.

Not Rubber
At the price I was surprised to be offered what looks like a good quality socket. I am reasonably happy with the overall quality but it certainly is not rubber. The orange part is textured like some of the rubber plugs and sockets that I have had in the past but it is not at all flexible. The back is very obvious black plastic. I don't expect it would survive being stood on, or be undamaged by dropping. Another case of getting what you pay for.
