Perfect Item
I bought a mini-split AC system which recommended that you pull a vacuum before releasing Freon into the system but all I had was a automotive vacuum pump . These allowed me to adapt to it and pull a vacuum before charging it.

Yikes! Hope they work
First let’s talk about the packaging. The only thing that came in the package that was at all contained was the 3/8 nipple adapters. The 4 1/4-5/16 2 straight and 2 slightly angled along with the other small bits and piece in the set were all loose in the box on arrival. Sure hope you don’t wait until you’re on the job sight to take them out to use them. You are sure to loose a piece or two.Couple of thing I didn’t care for with the set. #1 there isn’t a Schrader core on the end of the adapter where your service hose goes on, so when you twist this on to your fitting, you are live!. Be careful not to dump the Charge putting these on. Luckily, I have ball valves on my service hoses so I won’t lose or have a lot of refrigerant behind them to blow out. #2. All the little bits are just loose in the box. Super easy to lose and it would be a shame. Schrader Cores and extra gaskets. You’ve got 15 parts all rolling around in the bottom of the box. Hope you’ve got something to store that in so you got it when you need it. #3. The seal of the adapter to the service port seems a little fishy, I’m not sure that the seal provided is going to hold back the pressure of the system, time will tell. I hope so.The best part about this kit is the Schrader core removal tool. That is actually the most useful part I know that works.By far this in comparison, not the highest quality adapter set I’ve ever used.UPDATE: Used these for the first time today while doing a repair. I needed to pump down, evacuated and recharged. And these did just fine. No leaks, held vacuum. However, there is the thing of them blowing gas when removing. Yes they did that. Can’t be prevented with the way they are. I would recommend using a short hose when connecting. Not only will they be releasing the charge you just put in, until they are off enough for the Schrader to seal, but everything in whatever length of hose you connect. And then there’s still the little bits to deal with. With all this said I’m still going use them on mini-splits systems. Just have to be quick and endure the freeze burns on occasion.

Good selection for 410a systems
Good selection of various adapters needed to work with 410a split A/C systems.

Left Hand Thread
Got this set primarily for the male ACME thread adapter. Could not get it to thread onto my hose. Upon closer inspection I found that it is cut with left hand threads. Completely useless.

Air Conditioner fitting adapters
Well-made fittings, all seemed to work well. I checked the threads on all of them. They provided a nice product for the price.
