TimexUnisex T80 Steel 36mm Watch

I’ve been a long time Casio digital fan. I have more than I can count. Along with my beloved collection of G Shock GWM5610s, I also have an affinity for F91s and the adjacent, inexpensive flankers. I particularly love the A168, of which I have several.For the longest time, I was a Casio snob. I didn’t think any other digital could compete. But on a lark, I thought I’d give this T80 a try. I figured even though it was pricier than I normally spend (though not bank-breaking), it could be fun to expand my horizons.Im so glad I took the chance! To me, this feels like a “plus” version of a Casio. The build quality is a step up. The size is bigger than the 168, but still proportional and manageable.The legibility is improved by the larger size. The Indiglow is a great addition. But it still maintains the retro vibe which is the driving force behind the appeal of the “cheap” Casio digital.All in all, I’m glad I bought it…so much so that I purchased other color variants.I don’t have experience with the smaller version of this watch, and I’m not really interested in it. I was drawn to the larger size, and I’m delighted with it.

I was a little apprehensive to get this watch due to the acrylic crystal, but it makes sense. It's a quality acrylic crystal that has a slight rubbery feel to it. If for some reason I drop this thing, I probably won't have to worry about it breaking. It is a beautiful watch. All stainless. Stickers on the back of the case indicate that the movement is made in the Philippines and strap made in China. Timex is an American brand founded in Waterbury, Connecticut. It's a classic. Solid.Absolute value for the money. The green face is a stylish twist and you can't beat the full indiglo illumination. I'm lovin' it.

Looks even nicer than the picture. I'm keeping it for its appearance, but I took off two stars because I had a lot of trouble setting it. Other reviewers have said it was easy to set, my experience was terrible. Finally got it done though.Before you wear the watch to, say, a concert, test carefully to make sure both the alarm and the hourly chime are off. The hourly chime seems to be the default, so you have to turn it off.

The headline said 36mm and I received a small face. I doubled check and the details said 34mm. Need to fix headline to 34Watch is fine otherwise

The metal band has a very weak latch. The band is in two pieces. Previous band for Timex was one piece so that when clasp was undone the watch would fall down to your hand. When the two piece band unlatches the watch falls off completely. This will get lost in no time. It has come off while I'm in bed sleeping. Very poor design. Should have returned it right away.

Good quality watch for the price. Great looking and easy to use.

Absolutely wonderful all steel version of this T 80 reminds me of the nostalgic days of yor. Fits so comfortable. Large green display. I highly recommend this watch five stars! Fast shipping I got the watch in one day! Tyvm
