Serta My Fit Executive Office Adjustable Ergonomic Chair with Layered Cushions, Bonded Leather, Tailored Reach, Ivory

Please be aware that there are three model numbers that may fall in the same review bucket. My review is for the model 48097A. I ordered the Ivory color and it is beautiful. Assembly was very easy and no missing parts. Chair cushions are a little stiff but comfortable. Lumbar adjustment is a nice feature. Chair adjustments are made with "paddle shifter" like mechanisms Just like bicycle shifter/brake lever cable system. This feature is AWESOME! And nowhere on the item description does it mention this feature. Not sure how these will wear in the long term. But for the moment I am very pleased with this purchase.

Being forced to work from home during the Covid-19 lockdown required me to purchase as comfortable a work chair as I could find. I have chronic pain from a spinal condition, bulging discs, arthritis, etc., so 99% of chairs I sit in aren’t comfortable for more than an hour, or so. After using this chair for about 4 months, I can report that it’s making my sedentary work day more comfortable. Even with the body pain, I’m able to sit in this cushy chair for 8 hours, 5 days a week. Serta makes mattresses and this chair is like sitting in a comfortable cushion. My husband put the chair together and said it wasn’t that difficult.

Looks lovely but the box arrived damaged and there was no hardware kit included so I can't assemble it. I've been sitting on hold with their customer service for the last 20 minutes so here's hoping I don't have to find a way to box this back up for a return. The packaging is far too damaged to re-ship. I would have preferred to buy this in person but stores have no inventory right now so I was forced to go the Amazon route. ADDENDUM: I also sat on line with Serta's customer service for one hour and twenty minutes and they hung up before any discussion could be had. Amazon promised to arrange for UPS to pick this up. They did not. UPS claims Amazon never paid for the pickup. So another day, another round of calls to UPS and Amazon to get this incomplete package picked up. I will be buying this chair elsewhere.

Very comfortable and supportive chair for petite individuals. I am 5”2” and the lumbar for mid back hits perfectly. A foot rest is a good idea to maximize ergonomics. The seat depth is smaller so it’s the first office chair that I’ve used where you can actually have the back of the chair rest on your back. Very thick cushion. Cable mechanism is cheaply made. Assembly directions were hidden underneath a piece of foam on chair cushion. Very small print. I put it together myself but would be so much easier with two people.

The seat is wide. May not be a good fit for a child or small adult.

I love this chair. It’s really comfortable and looks great in my office. It arrived well packaged. I had a small problem with a part but Amazon was wonderful about taking care of the problem.

If you are having to sit for long hours studying or working, this chair is not the one you want to be sitting in. It’s just not comfortable. It is stylish, attractive, and extremely durable but I only yesterday was able to put my finger on its issues. The seat bottom is tilted just slightly forward and the cushioning is lacking causing the chair to quickly feel more like a bleacher bench than an executive office chair within a very short time frame.Serta needs to rework the design on this model to be more like some of their other office chairs. In fact we’ve replaced this one with one of their others.

Excellent product! Supports your back and is very comfortable. Cushions are high quality and thick!
