Wingspan: Vol. 1: 1:32 Aircraft Modelling

I saw this book advertised when it was first published and didn't bother looking at it. Having been on sale at another web site, I decided to purchase a copy and was very surprised. The book is great, large format, color, great detailed photos of models in progress, etc... I build 1:32 scale aircraft from time to time and find this book very informative and inspiring. Although I'm not much for prop jobs, I see in Vol 2 there is an article/build on an F-4 Phantom. If you're a modeler, I highly recommend this book.

Excellent as an inspirational and detailed look at some really well constructed large scale plastic models. I've been building smaller(1/72 and 1/48) scale models for years. This book does a good job of showcasing the tools and skills needed to tackle the new crop of very detailed 1/32 scale aircraft models.

If you're an advanced modeler, this book is eye candy to the "nth" degree. Awesome builds and good illustration of technique!

With 1/32 scale becoming more and more popular with many others and myself this book is very welcomed. As a professional modeller I always like to look at my fellow colleagues latest works and may I say this book definitely ticks the right boxes !! I'm already looking forward to Vol.2. Also of interest is the fact that many of the book's show pieces are still readily available, thus tempting the reader to try their hand on a kit that catches the eye an maybe even makes one's latest build even better or learning a trick/technique ;-DEither way as some might say "It's the feel-good book of the season or maybe the year baby"Now where's that wallet of mine as papa needs some new kits.

This book hits the spot if you make 1/32nd scale aeroplanes - inspirational! I ended up buying various aftermarket products which were mentioned in the book and that is one of the purposes of books like this. I now have Volume 2 to read and that looks just as good!

Excellent book ideal for model aircraft makers

Magnifique ouvrage. Les réalisations sont très belles et parfaitement mises en valeur par les photos. La présentation est soignée. Les techniques sont tout à fait transposables au 1/48°.Pour ma part, j'apprécie le rendu des patines qui est très réaliste et appuyé juste comme il faut, pas de surenchère dans les effets (ce qui change par rapport à certaines publications).Les publications Canfora sont de très belle qualité.Un bémol pour ma part quant à la livraison ; annoncée entre le 17 et le 22 Décembre et finalement arrivée le 27 Décembre. Le tout sans aucun moyen de suivi, le vendeur étant dans l'incapacité de me fournir un numéro de suivi... bref pas cool pour un produit destiné à être offert pour Noël.
