Good GPS Poor Battery Life Poor touch screen
This is the second Garmin GPS I have had, the previous one lasted several years without a problem until it stopped connecting to a power source. This one is fine except that it does not hold a charge for more than half an hour. This means the need to be constantly charging it either in the car or using a charger. I thought that this was a fault and contacted Garmin but apparently this is the way the new batteries are designed. Otherwise the GPS is what you would expect from Garmin. Since writing this I have also found that the touch screen is very poor, very difficult particularly to enter co-ordinates. Think I will by a TomTom next.

Just what was required
Garmin - good make, reliable and does the job well. Good clear instructions and gets you to your goal location.

Like being in the late 1990's. Perfect for those with time on their hands...
I was planning on replacing the Garmin we have in our van - it has done 3 years and now just turns itself off. This looked like a useful option.Weird that Garmin are still using a Mini-B USB connector...I thought they were now just the preserve of the very cheapest Chinese nose hair trimmers. Anyway you get a Mini-B to Type-A 2.0 cable in the box.So now you get the fun that your new MacBook will not have a Type-A USB port - so what are you supposed to do? You can try that special Type-C to Type-A adaptor that cost £20 from Apple, or indeed the expensive power hub that happily runs every other device you have ever owned. But none will work. You can dig through your 'IT' drawer and try cable after cable. Even crawl around under your desk for a while swapping stuff out to see if that helps. But it won't. You will just see these three screens over and over and over and over again. Then you can spend another 20 minutes getting the whole thing packed back up.Then another 10 minutes doing the return. Then have to go to a local shop to drop it off. Then keeping checking that Amazon have done the refund. Then buy another item from a company who actually have software that works.

Ok but needs some improvments
Pros: nice looking and better than my previous Garmin,Cons:Battery charge is pointless as I expected from my last one, but not a hassle to have it wired.USB didn't work with adapter in cigarette outlet but the other adapter did. Some late notice warning of some forks in the road (too early warning for others), unclear instructions on other e.g. should say 'bear left not turn left' as its confusing.
