I own 2 cars that have wired Apple Car Play. Back in July, I bought one of these exact same wireless adapters from another seller. That unit took about 2 minutes to install and has been fairly reliable / easy to live with.So I just bought the second car a couple of weeks ago and decided to equip it with wireless Car Play also. I figured I'd just purchase another of the same device I'm already familiar with. Only the original seller is out of stock and can't deliver until after Christmas. No problem, it seems dozens of Chinese resellers are buying the same Dongle from a Chinese manufacturer and reselling it under their own brand. Exact same packaging, instructions, device, and extra USB-C adapter.So I ordered the new one from this reseller AMLLEN. What a different experience. I played with it for 3 hours before I gave up. It refused to connect at first. When it did connect none of the controls on the steering wheel or touch screen would work except for Volume. Then it would drop the connection. It would take a half hour of deleting the Bluetooth and WiFi pairing over and over again to get it to reconnect seemingly randomly before it died again. If I shut down the car and phone and came back 15 min later, it would not reconnect. Not even once.One thing I noticed was that the green power LED on the original one that actually works comes on when the USB port is powered up and stays on constantly if there is power. The new one I bought from AMLLEN just blinks constantly. It never glows steadily. So, I'm guessing the thing is constantly losing power and trying to reboot. It has to be either the cable, the USB connector, or a malfunction on the circuit board inside the Dongle.Either way, I'm not wasting another second trying to make this thing work. It's on its way back to Amazon today. Probably a manufacturing defect. I've ordered another one from another seller that's due to arrive Tuesday. At the point where a time saving device is eating up my time, I lose interest fast.My advice would be to look elsewhere. I'm betting these things are leaving the factory without any QA (quality assurance) testing to at least make sure they power up and the radios are able to make a connection with a phone and a car. The sellers are just throwing them over the wall to consumers.

I have long had issues with my Apple Carplay disconnecting randomly through a loose cable, and this product fixes all my problems. As soon as I turn my car on it automatically wirelessly connects to my phone and seamlessly connects with my car's entertainment system.I am actually planning on purchasing more for my other vehicles, as the double sided sticker that comes with the product allows me to attach it to my car's central console for seamless connection to the USB port.I always thought I would have to purchase a newer car to have wireless Carplay but this product solves all my problems and I could not be happier, 10/10 from me!

I love that this automatically connects to my phone! Now my car plays my CarPlay to play music and display my calendar and maps . Will be buying another for my husbands truck

Works great, includes all airplay features you get in a wired plus the wireless capability. Connects automatically as soon as u enter the car. However, minor lag and only worth if you think connecting wired takes effort & hassle

The product was working perfectly for around 30 minutes, after that it stopped working and the car screen showed a message saying "overcurrent caution on USB". Later on, the device was connected to the car USB directly to try to see if it was still working as it was no longer recognized through the carplay cable and smoke started coming out of the adapter.

This thing works good most of the time. Except when my phone pairs with it entering the vehicle. The first time I try to use voice to text, it doesn’t work. I have to end voice to text and do it again to make it work. Maybe there is a firmware update that fixes this, but there’s little to no documentation that comes with it.
