OK so I have this property with a LONG dirt driveway. I like to walk it each day, but depending on the time of year I get attacked by either horseflies, mosquitoes, or these weird bee-like flies. I used to cover up from head to foot ... but now I just carry this and leave the thing ON. If I feel buzzing around my head or ankles, I just wave it around until the bugs fly into it. If they just graze it, they get stunned and wiggle on the ground for awhile, not dead. If they hit it hard, loud snap crackle, pop! And if they get STUCK in it ... OMG it roasts them. You can see smoke rising and the smell of burnt insect flesh! And for a real boost, the thing will dissect them into body parts!! Highly recommend!!! But only for those that friggin HATE flying pests!

I love this thing. It does make a snapping sound when a bug flys in and kills its self. I don't have to wave it around, just prop it up near by and the insects go straight to it and don't come anywhere near me. Worth every dollar. I do not want to be without one.I'm 77 and have goats. I'm on a walker and can no longer walk out to pasture my goats. I have been taking my car to the pasture to watch them graze and got eaten alive by bugs, but not any more. I haven't had a single bite or sting of any kind since using this zapper, not even a gnat. They fly into my car and straight to the zapper propped between the console and dash.

This is not the best version, this one plugs into the handle which is a hassle, the best version plugs into the base so you can grab it and go. It sounds like a small difference, but when you are in a big damned hurry to swat something it makes a big difference.

This thing is no joke. I bought it because I had 5 flies buzzing around for two weeks. I tried to wait them out but they just wouldn't die or go away! I have pets, so flying insect spray is a no-go. Then I remembered one of these electric swatters I had, like, 20 years ago that was amazing, so I decided to get another one now.Back then, these electric swatters were very basic; powered by 2 AA batteries and no extra frills. This swatter though has an integral Li-ion battery with USB-C charging which is a huge plus, and also has UV LEDs to attract pesky bugs in 'Auto' mode. The listing says they are "purple" but they are definitely 395nm UV in the unit I received.I have no way to confirm that the unit actually produces 4kV, but I can tell you that it is more than powerful enough to practically vaporize flies on contact. If the smell of burning protein (think burnt hair) makes you queasy, this product might not be for you.

Estaba con la desconfianza de comprarlo pero valio la pena,,,, trabajo en un taller de carros por lo cual hay muchos sancudos mosquitos,,, esto me ha sido muy util cuando los sancudos choca los mata trabaja muy bien de hecho los mosquitos no vienen casi,,, lo recomiendo mucho la carga dilata
