I would look elsewhere.
I bought 2 sets of these to make sure my class would have enough bats at our community studio for plates. After using them and wrapping our pieces for one week, every single one of these bats was COATED in mold. I have used bats of all material types for years and the worst mold I had seen before was maybe 1-2 coin sized spots after about a month of sitting. Any plates that were thrown on spare studio bats we found did not develop this mold problem. The bats seem to have a proclivity for mold and hold water worse than any other masonite bat I have ever used. It isn't even worth it for the bat pins, because they do not seem to be the typical/universal size. We had to jam other masonite bats onto them and the plastic bats do not fit on the pins at all. Do not buy these, it's a waste of money and you'd be lucky to get more than one use out of each bat.

Great price and good quality
Great price for four of them! My wife just got back into pottery and need a few more and these fit the bill perfectly.

Useful but will warp if not taken care of
I used mine several times a week and rotated, and stored with newspaper between to keep down moisture bc they will mold. I was able to keep relatively flat by keeping heavier pieces on top and rotating sides. These will not last if you do not do these things.

Not suitable for throwing. MOLD GROWING material
Horrible product, NOT suitable for throwing due to its material growing mold soon after exposed to moisture. I tried to remove mold with chemicals but was unsuccessful, it just came rich back. Wasted money on poor quality product. Proper throwing bats do not get moldy like that.

Easy to remove work
Great value. Important to be cleaned and let dry in between use, but we already do everything the way we should, so no need to get too detailed.

Mold
Absolutely terrible product! I left my pieces on top of it to dry and it got moldy in day. It takes ages to dry and it’s very unstable. Very bad product.
