Worked perfectly for getting my 20 plus years old Deere back to mowing. I didn't use the hardware that came with the kit as I used grade 5 bolts and washers but the plates were great and stiffened the mount up immensely!! Dont be afraid to use this kit!!

I had a bearing go out in a spindle on a John Deere D140, which caused it to come loose from the deck, and damaged the mount holes. I am too busy to search for a welder to permanently fix the deck, and knew about these rings, so decided to try them.Easy to install, simply install them on top of the deck, while installing the spindle from the bottom of the deck. There are two sets of bolts to install the rings with the spindles. I used the shorter ones, as the longer bolts extended 1.5" below the spindle. The shorter ones are even with the bottom of the spindle. Make sure they are absolutely TIGHT!!I am on my second mowing of 4 acres, and so far no problems. I did retighten them, just to be safe.
