This bracket works perfect for securing a water heater thermal expansion tank. I used the bracket on a 2 gal expansion tank, but it will accommodate up to a five gallon tank. Installing was straight forward and it includes screws if mounting to a wall surface where a stud is located. I mounted mine directly to the side of the water heater using short self-tapping metal screws that I had on hand. You can’t beat this option for the price. It’s a great, no-hassle way to properly and securely mount an expansion tank.

worked just fine on my large expansion tank for the heating system. does take some finagling to get everything lined up. mount the bracket on the way, slip the bands through the holes and insert the tank and tighten.

Watch that you don’t cut yourself on sharp edges. Attached to a masonry wall, this bracket holds our expansion tank solidly. Would but again.

Zero instructions arrived with the product, however it's fairly easy to figure out so it's ok. Several dollars cheaper than the local big box and the exact same quality if not the exact same. I didn't end up using the smaller hardware that came with, but it probably would have worked fine, however I had screws I liked and used those instead. The bands are very robust, seems like they would have held a much bigger tank than the 5 gallon expansion tank I put up.
