My original key fob finally broke and I was told it was over £100 for a replacement toyota fob. I ordered this to try out and its great. Managed to fit it all together and it works juat fine! Thank you!

Ordered this replacement key shell for my car key. When arrived it was missing the screw that holds the key together. Without this screw the key just falls apart rendering it completely useless. Advert showed the screw in the pictures but arrived without it. It’s a specific sized screw for this key case and you can’t get a replacement screw without buying another key. Avoid.

This is a good option for a replacement of a broken factory key. So simple my 3yo helped me with it. You will need to open your old key fob and pop out the little case with buttons on. You will also need to unscrew the metal key itself and break off any remaining plastic from the metal. Pop the key shaft and button fob into the new key case, replace the screws and you're away. The previous one I purchased from another seller was made of a brittle plastic and broke, it also had an attached hard metal key blank, which upset the man who cut the key. This seems a better option. The shaft of the key seems well supported and the plastic is possibly less brittle as it looks more matt and is a little thicker. Time will tell if it lasts. If not I'll likely get another as it's very good value, considering you don't need to get a blank key cut by the angry man.
