Didn't work
Apparently hit our miss with this board. I cannot get it to work. Powers up fine but will not communicate with Arduino serial port - I have tried all the options in the forums and CHATGPT without any luck. Bummer. Not sure I want to spend another 30 bucks on another one...

It works!
There are plenty of knock off products, but this is not one. Using it with an Arduino nano and DFPlayer mini to create a cosplay outfit. So far, it activates the mp3 player with voice commands. Only issue I have is remembering what commands I assign to what number id.

Mounting Nightmare
After fiddling for an hour or so trying to mount this board to a perfboard and solder it, I've realized that none of the five sets of pin line up to a standard 2.54mm perfboard. Aa a workaround, I mounted it on nylon standoffs and soldered right angle pin headers to each set of pins and I'll use Dupont connectors and wires instead of a perfboard. Also, take a picture of both sides of the board. Some pins are labeled on top where you can see them...some on the bottom where they become a guessing game. Four pins, 24 combinations....eight pins...good luck. Functionality remains to be tested.

Decent voice recognition module
I have tried multiple voice recognition modules, this one is your far the best, and easiest. The mic isn't great, but for price and convenience, you get what you get. I'll buy a different mic, to help increase range. I noticed a review stating it wouldn't recognize the serial port, that is easily mitigated through Linux. I had the same issue at first. This was my first project using code and arduinos, I had ZERO experience, I didn't even know what Linux was, I managed to pull this off. Research. Top tech boy is a great resource and Gemini or chat gpt for math/code are helpful.
