It Works!
I set up an infrared trailcam to try and catch a suspected mouse in action. Found the little critter (he's fast!). Set up Fabuta the first night it came, no luck. Noticed from the night time video captures that mouse likes to travel next to walls or protected areas, so re-arranged placement of bucket on a chair to make height of fabuta trap equal to end of counter pretty close to wall. Worked like a charm. Little guy roamed around counter all night, then around 7:00am, plop. We left a wad of cotton balls to soften the fall and a tiny cap of water in the bottom of bucket to keep the little fella busy and hydrated til we got up to find him (her?) looking up at us from the bottom of the bucket. Free meals days are done, it's catch and release today back to the forest where he can fend for himself. A few very very small crumbs trailed along the edge, then a big piece of stale bread right on the end of the gang-plank. Since we knew the critter was extra small (maybe 1.5" long, that's it), we counter-balanced the plank with bits of carrot and apple so it was a bit under hair-trigger balance. Was hoping to actually catch the capture on camera in mid-fall, but it was so fast, all we got was one frame of lead-up to the edge and then, gone from view. keeping this trap handy in case there are more in the family (though I found the nest in the basement today under a pile of wires and it looks like a single so far).

Great trap, was assembled upside down
This is a great trap, well made, sturdy enough to last. I use it as a humane trap, so I don't put water in the bucket. There is no need to kill innocent creatures when it's just as easy to save their lives and relocate them. I deducted one star because mine came with the plank assembled upside down, as my pics show. The black slick part should be on top, so it can be easily cleaned. It was just 2 screws to fix it, but it never should have left the manufacturer like that. The bottom is brown and the top is shiny black. No mistaking it.

Works like a charm
After buying a cheaper lightweight model of 'plank' trap, and being disappointed, I came here & bought this FABUTA plank trap, and the difference is night and day. It is sturdy, and has held up to outdoor use, and exposure to the elements, while catching every pest under the sun. This trap has a beefy magnet in the bottom of the plank. The large, adjustable screw in the base lets you tweak the magnetic attraction from light duty like for tiny mice, all the way up to strong, direct contact between screw & magnet for heavier game !!! It has been catching pests right and left for us. For bait, I followed what others had said & put peanut butter (chunky LOL) with sunflower seeds stirred in with it - basically catnip for rodents (even caught a mole the other day - go figure). This FABUTA Walk the Plank is the real deal, and you won't be disappointed - Hope this helps you - Happy Hunting!

No quality control
Bought two of these , one was built right, the other was built sloppy, Ramp goes down and doesn't want to come back up on the sloppy built one. Slots that hang on the bucket was cut too deep and hit the ramp, causing it to hang up when it pivots. Tried to shim it up to make it work, will see what happens. I think I will try to return one of them. This is a review after having them for a few weeks, two rats did not go in. I had to use the regular snap type traps to get them. I did get one mouse but that is it. Still have noise in the walls , they set off the other traps but have not went into the Plank trap.

Works But fell apart already
I liked the fact that it was easy to set up. I got 2 of these on August 19th. Worked great until now. Falling apart Both of them. Wear the moving plank is attached to the unit both separated. and they are useless . I'm hoping I can fix them. Great Idea, Came Fast, Works well! Just didn't last unfortunately

Get a claw grabber! You’re gonna catch a lot of mice with this!
We have a small piece of property in the mountains and this year, our community is having a problem with the field mice. They runneth over outside and around the trailer regardless if there is no food or garbage out there. We’ve had one get in. So arrrrgh! They gonna walk the plank! We sat the planks up on a Friday outside and had two mice caught the first night. Second night we caught two more. Third night, we unfortunately got a chipmunk. The planks have been the best trap method for us. We’ve done the smoke bombs under ground, old school traps, newer traps, and even glue the snacks to the traps. Traps worked for a few weeks. The planks are working every time. I’ve added Plaster of Paris traps near the planks to encourage them to look for water as well. I propped a ‘ramp’ up under the plank so it was straight up, and it sits perfectly on the bucket’s rings.

Nice Mice Feeding Station:)
I don't understand why this was rated as good as it was as I was very disappointed. First off you need to supply your own ramp and there is no good way to attach as only a very shallow ledge is provided so the ramp slips off. The screws used to assemble are very low quality drywall screws which immediately rusted. I could forgive all of this is it worked, but I failed to catch a single mouse. The peanut butter bait was licked clean 3 times so it was a pretty good mouse feeding station. A better mouse trap may eventually happen, but I am back to the old spring traps after trying this one as well as an electronic. If this one worked I would have upgraded with Stainless steel screws, securely attached a ramp and given it a 4 star review.
