Much better than sardines.

Tasty, good for you, long shelf life and reasonably priced: What more could you want?
As a child, the idea of eating sardines was absolutely repugnant to me. It's only been in the last 25 or 30 years that I started to eat these Beach Cliff Wild Caught Fish Steaks in Soybean Oil. If you research it, you'll find that these cold water sardines are exceptionally good for you, in addition to tasting good and being reasonably priced. I try to eat a can of these at least once a week for lunch. Give 'em a try, what do you have to lose? (Beside a few pounds!)

The flavor is delightful and I think because it is wild caught.

Tasty, but contains crunchy little bones
I don't eat sardines because of the little bones. These fish steaks have the same crunch. For those who enjoy that, or in need of the calcium, these are a good buy.

Good price, buy for cats.
I used to buy from walmart to feed our cats. Now they stop carrying this fish. There may be some salt and oil , but I mix 50-50 ratio with pumpkin and this herring so that balances out. While making cat food I try one steak from the can, very tasty fish to have. Also our cats get lot of fibre and mineral from pumpkin. The price is good compared to feeding can food from pet store.

I was expecting a more traditional smoked kipper, these are neither. nor do they say they are. They ARE edible with some salt and pepper, or maybe a little pepper flake as sort of a fish steak helper. The fish is herring & it's been steaked into a can full of individual portions as opposed to 1 or 2 pcs like the smoked kippered herring which next time I'll buy.

Fish steaks
Great product fast shipping used by day is four years out so that's great. Love the fish steaks over sardines. These fish steaks are packed in soybean oil which i usually drain. Highly recommend this product. Also the seller.
