Let me start with this: You do not buy this expansion for the pieces; you are getting additional rules that revolutionize the game. The new command and tactics cards, garrison tokens, and grand battery rules provide greater capabilities and limitations to each scenario. The additional charts to annotate the appropriate number of tactics cards for each player in the other scenarios give you greater opportunity to revisit all of the other scenarios from the base game and expansions. The scenarios are top-notch, portraying different sections from the battle of Leipzig, famously known as "The Battle of the Nations." It serves as a great history tool for learning more about Europe's largest land battle until the First World War while exploring the new gameplay mechanics. This expansion is worth every penny. All of the additions enhance the depth of the game and bring new and exciting challenges to veteran players.

New tactical and command cards, and a few new units. This takes a solid game-playing experience to the next level. Worth the $$ and you may find yourself never playing with the original card set! :-)

This expansion adds a lot of tactical fun to the game. I really look forward to using it more. The leaders really come into play now, similar to the ancients version.
