Velox Pro Dash & Windshield Mount

The price is a bit steep, but it’s definitely worth it. The quality is top-notch, and the fast charging feature for my iPhone 16 Pro is a game-changer. The magnetic hold keeps my phone securely in place while I’m driving, even on bumpy roads. However, there’s one downside: there’s no way to adjust the phone mount with the magnetic. The phone will gradually shift from its position while driving, and you’ll have to readjust it again.

Works as described. I had one issue after about a year of use where the head would move too easily and the phone would sag down. Realized the mount had small cracks around where the ball joint attaches. Submitted a warranty claim through iOttie's website and they promptly sent me a new one. Was able to take apart the old unit to see how it worked and realized just how much though went into designing this thing so it cooled properly. Great quality and hopefully the new unit doesn't have the same issue.

Worked great at first but then the fan stopped working after about 7 months of use. Now my phone stops charging after it quickly overheats. I also have an iphone 17 pro which is supposed to be the coolest phone so considering that this charger sucks even more. I assumed paying a premium price for this meant reliability but turns out it’s no match for an average of 70 degree weather.

I like iOttie products. I got three older units and upgraded to this one for the wireless charging and MagSafe. The MagSafe attachment has been perfect. The arm also articulates easily enough that my phone is in the perfect spot. What’s not perfect is the charging. It pulses on and off about 3 seconds at a time. I can hear the cooling fan wind up and down. It’s annoying, I’m sure I could get used to it, but it doesn’t charge well. On drives where I’m using GPS it’s charges enough to keep me about even with where I started but won’t charge up. I’ve tried multiple usb-c cables to no avail. So, I’m still using it but having to plug in. I can’t justify $80 to try another one.

This mount is pretty great! My only complaint is that the magsafe head (where your phone goes) seems really loose. It refuses to stay where I've angled it, I'm not sure if it's the heat or what but it's bad enough that I'm tempted to use a silicone to glue it into the right place. This is the case both for my husbands iphone 15 pro and my 15 pro max. Other than that, cooling seems pretty effective and the charging is great for a few percentage points here and there! Allows me to use my phone for calls, Siri, music, etc without worrying about battery usage or overheating. Also, I use it suctioned to my windshield, and even in 102F heat it hasn't fallen off once!

I just received a replacement unit, 11 months after my initial order, at no charge. I thought it was a 30-day warranty but when I emailed iOttie, they told me it was two years. Whew! I had noticed the problems from the start and told them that, but they replaced it anyway. I did have to send a photo showing my iPhone giving an overheat message. I bought this partly because of other positive reviews for iOttie customer service. Well, I'm another vote. They will make sure you're satisfied with your puchase. INITIAL REVIEW: Make sure you check this mount for the fan working. Mine didn't. And iOttie doesn't say how to verify that it is working—it's supposed to be quiet, after all. Also, this mount seems not to accept any USBC cable or USBC charger other than the one it ships with. Three main functions it does perfectly well: the suction mount holds on a window flawlessly, the MagSafe holds an iPhone securely, and it certainly charges the phone. But when the "CryoFlow" fan doesn't work, the phone consistently overheats and can even shut down. That part is very frustrating.

Works extremely well. I live in Florida and even in direct sunlight, my phone is nice and cool. Should protect the Lith-ion battery within the phone. Magnet is nice and strong too! Wished the bottom magnet worked alittle better. The phone seems like it’s tilted a bit sometimes but in the grand scheme of things works perfectly.

I had an older generation iOttie wireless charging dash mount. It still works, but the cord is starting to wear out. When I got my new iPhone 14 pro, I knew I wanted to get a MagSafe dash mount instead. Clipping the phone into the old mount was easy, but it did take an extra step and other people often had trouble getting used to the mechanism. MagSafe is effortless and strong enough to hold my phone in place. It doesn’t jostle often, so most of the time it stays in place right where you placed it. Occasionally it might get slightly turned so it’s no sitting straight. The cooling mechanism has also been great. I’ve always had trouble on long road trips when the mount is sitting in the sun with my phone getting overheated. Even though the AC is on in the car, the combination of direct sunlight, black charger and dash, and the wireless charging would mean I’d have to pull my phone off the mount and cool it down in front of a vent. This is very inconvenient if I’m actively needing the GPS at that moment. I took a week long vacation road-trip where we were in the car for up to 12 hours. My phone never got overheated during that time. The trip was at the end of June and we drove through the mountains and desert with no issues. I’m very happy with this phone mount.
