I’m so glad I had this for labor! I had a completely natural birth and used this for contraction relief. Gave me something to focus on doing to get through. Comb is great quality and not sharp. I was able to squeeze as hard as I liked and never cut my hand. All my nurses were very impressed! And it’s super cute too with a great leather carrying case! I’d highly recommend this, very worth it! Add this to your hospital bag!

My comfort item during labor
This comb & the button for my epidural were my 2 comfort items that got me through induced labor with Cytotec. Comfortable to hold & a good size. I would definitely use it again during labor.

Helped me Manage Pain
In an attempt to prepare for an unmedicated labor & birth, I saw that one of the recommended techniques involved using a comb in order to decrease pain by using pressure points in the hand. Let me tell you, I squeezed the ever living poop out of this comb and did manage to give birth completely unmedicated! Love that it also has a birth affirmation on it that even my nurse noticed! Love that it also comes with a little storage bag. I labored for about 16 hours total and the comb helped tremendously - and it held up great (unlike some of the plastic ones that I saw other people use).

Used it more that I thought! Works great!
I did not let go of this my entire labor. It really does help more than expected! And it’s beautiful craftsmanship makes it a nice souvenir to keep as well.
