All keys for bell and clock and both alarm and hands are metal.

At the back of the clock are 2 winder keys and to knobs . The one for time set is identified by a picture of the hands on the clock . Turn the knob in the direction shown to the correct time . Wind up the mechanisms using the winder keys , its done

It says battery is that correct

When I bought this it was wind up, so no battery needed, but since then (18 months ago) they may have changed the design to battery operated
