The magnets on these are strong. I use these for attaching warning flags on over size loads I never worry about my flags coming off.

Perfect magnet. I really only need to use 1 but I will use 2 since my old cheaper different ones fell off when I using it on the underside side of the 80ft long pipes for the oilfield.

We use these for flags on our oversized loads. They have a tough grip and haven’t came off going down the highway

I don’t presently have a way to determine the pull of a magnet, but can attest that when attached to thick steel or iron that these require a great deal of pull to remove them; however the pull is not that great on thin sheet metal, as can be expected. Between these not having great pull on thinner metal and nothing to protect a painted surface, I would not want to use these on a vehicles body panels as they might scratch the paint and/or fly off while driving. But I cant see these going anywhere if mounted on thicker metal such as a trailer side. BTW, the pictures with the flags on trucks are misleading as those are clearly flags on poles that are in brackets bolted to the vehicle. These come with the bolt unassembled from the magnetic base. There is a bolt, regular nut, and wing nut with nylon insert; I’ll probably put a drop of Loctite on the regular nut when I fully assemble these so that the wing nut doesn’t cause the regular nut to loosen.

This set of four heavy duty magnets come with one threaded stud and one wingnut for each magnet. Each magnet has a bright chrome steel metal housing that is weather and corrosion resistant. The wingnut will securely hold onto a flag or sign (neither included) and not easily loosen. Each round magnet is 3" in diameter and has a 85 lb pull force. There is no anti scratch fabric on the magnets bottom so be careful when using on painted surfaces. Would recommend these to anyone.

This is a review of the DC Cargo Mesh Safety Oversize Flag W/ Wire Mount. That is one confusing product title. What you are actually buying is four magnets with metal covers and a threaded bolt stud (see pics). They can be used to hold down safety flags for traveling with wide loads but they are not limited to that use. They can be used anywhere you need a threaded bolt stud on a flat iron/steel surface. I plan on using these in my shop to help in metal fabrication.
