Has anyone had experience with how well this adheres to a tile backsplash?

Have two of them, both attached to appliances toaster/coffee maker. Dont know tile, but both have worked well for me for several months.

Has anyone tried these on hair dryer?

I have not, with these ones, but I do believe they come in a smaller size elsewhere on amazon

Can this be used on appliances that get hot, like a crock pot slow cooker?

Yes! I put one on both of my slow cookers. All good so far.

I see some people say they don't stick. Can I use my own tape?

I only had one what was troublesome, I used gorilla glue :-) Apparently it's for more than just hair who knew?? ;-) ;-)
