This is not for someone who needs a super complex setup with 10 different monitors and keyboards and accessories hooked to their deck at all times. This is for someone who, like me, primarily needs a dock for occasionally hooking it up to the TV, or attaching USB accessories. It is a very simple, minimalistic device, which is all I needed and all I wanted. It works great, easily snaps on to the back of my deck, and takes up very little space when not in use. The charging works just fine, and I like the fact that I can still use my deck in handheld mode while using the dock, which most docks do not allow for.

first was faulty. wouldnt charge with a 65w and would still drain the steamdeck battery while docked with the 45w. second one they sent is fine. can play for hours and the back doesn't get hot like some reviews say? also charges the deck pretty quickly.

So you wanted a kickstand dock for your Steam Deck or ROG Ally? This one fits the bill for the former.. with a few catches. Here's how it breaks down: PROS: - Snap fit design attaches snugly to your Steam Deck, so you can carry around a dock essentially. - Power passthrough from the dock seems within spec (30w~ for the Steam Deck). - Multiple USB-A ports for connecting your mouse or keyboard. Maybe even some light data transfer. - Lightweight, though this isn't all perfect, check the Neutral section. CONS: - USB-A ports are 2.0 only. Would have been nice to have at least one 3.0, but if your intention is just to connect a mouse/keyboard, you should be fine. - Doesn't work with a case/cover. As other reviews have pointed out. It'll probably only work with a skin. - Cable isn't right angle, while it's not a problem for function, it does look a little jank. NEUTRAL: - Mostly-plastic construction. With exception to the cable, everything seems like it's made from plasic, that's good for weight, but maybe some metal/steel here and there would be good for sturdiness/protection. - Doesn't "work" with ROG Ally. This dock isn't advertised to do so, so it's not a con, and the Ally CAN sit on the stand, just nothing to clip on and it'll fall over if you poke at it (expected). CONCLUSION: - At this price, and with so many competing docks, this gets a passing grade for uniqueness. Pretty much all of those other dock solutions require you to be fixed/stationed at a table or desk, whereas with this, you could lift up your Steam Deck to use as a controller while connected to an external monitor/TV, or if you were really in a bind, you could connect this while commuting for some light data transfer.

I'm able to charge, run a mouse, keyboard, thumb drive or controller, and plug into a TV or monitor. I only wish it fit attached in the case the SteamDeck come in but I love the stand function

This item works well, and I enjoy that it has several ports right on the top. it also has a kickstand. Unfortunately I wanted a protective cover and could not use this with a protective cover. So I bought a less expensive protective cover and I cut out this section and it seems to work well that way.

Used it to play on my TV and it ran really smoothly and no delays. For the price I was surprised how well it worked definitely would recommend instead of buying the official steam one. (Also it doesn't come with an HDMI so make sure you have one)

I bought this dock to play FFXIV through steam deck with the television as my monitor, and it kind of works sometimes but has been a nightmare to keep connected. The signal will be working fine one minute and than I get no signal the next and have to get up to unplug and reply it in. Cheap junk, invest the 80 bucks for an official dock instead of wasting 20 on this.

I love this so much. It's very portable and I can take it around with me anywhere! It's really high quality and it doesn't cover the heat vents so the console doesn't get very hot, the cord length is fine and it preforms as much as you expect it to.

I bought one for all my friends who own a steam deck. If I could only own a single accessory it would be this.
