Edited to add: had these less than a year one no longer works at all, the other drains the battery fast, screw for battery cover falls out. Changed to one star.Previous review:The unit works well and was easy to program for my two different dip switch type gate openers.However, the remote has a bad design flaw with the battery holder, where the battery can slide down and contact the dip switches, and when it does it rapidly drains the battery completely. See images.In order to correct this, it requires tape be placed over the dip switch contacts, and the over the battery AFTER inserting, to prevent slipping and making the short circuit.Secondly, the screw for holding the battery cover in place strips very easily and falls out.BATTERY FIX: see the attached images. Put tape over the metal pins of the DIP switch to insulate them. Then I set the battery, keeping it centered over the battery holder. Then put a piece of tape on top of the battery and holder to prevent the battery slipping.

This remote is so simple to setup. It’s hard to find remotes with dip switches. This one is a great price and super simple! Works great!Came very quickly too.

I needed a remote with 3 DIP Switches for my shop.

Had to return 2 other units before finding this one. Works like a true universal remote, programed to 3 different garage door openers the first time. Easy to setup and program. I highly recommend this unit.
