Worthwil buy if you like the base game.
A good expansion for a great little game. The new set up rules that come with the harbour expansion are much improved over the original, and the extra major establishments make for a slightly longer game. If you enjoy the base game then I would recommend this as worthwhil buy. As well as addign new establishments, bth major and minor, it also adds enough crads to play with 5 people instead of 4, although I still feel this game is best played with 4 max.

Great game. Slight card size difference.
Brilliant expansion for an already great game, a must have for sure.BuuuutOnly thing I'd mention is if you have the newest version (5th edition) of the base game the cards are a tiny bit bigger than the expansions, only 1/2mm, and the font is different too. It made no difference to me personally though. Not sure if there's a new edition of the expansion either.

If you've got Machi Koro then you need this expansion
For me, this expansion is absolutely necessary for the game to work well. Without it the base game is too easily won with particular strategies. Using this pack, and the three pack set up as detailed elsewhere on the web you can have an enjoyable game which required more adaptive game play.Machi Koro is a fairly simple game to learn, and offers a fair amount of enjoyment.

Essential, essential expansion to Machi Koro. Immediately updates the game from a quick bit of fun to a strategic and longer lasting game.It is not until you play Harbour that you realise how fundamentally broken the base game was with a few loopholes that made it frustrating pretty quick if you played it too much. Harbour fixes this.

A good buy
I love Machi Koro and this has added a new dimension. Have had to change my strategy and makes the game different each time as the cards in the market place are different depending on the deal. I really enjoy playing with the extension and would recommend.

Nice expansion, shame about the quality control
The expansion itself is fine, but the manufacturing is useless. The cards in the expansion are both smaller and a different colour to the base game. This makes shuffling the cards nigh on impossible and makes it very evident from which pack drawn cards are coming.The expansion itself is very good, pretty much a must buy, so if you can buy it in the deluxe pack you should be fine. Otherwise steer clear as it just makes the game a mess.
