ANNKE 4MP PTZ Outdoor Security Camera, 8X Digital Zoom Auto Tracking for Home Security, 2.4GHZ WiFi Camera with AI Human Detection, Color Night Vision, Two-Way Talk, Compatible with Alexa, WPT400

This camera can be used alone via the phone app and an SDcard, with cloud storage (free trial and then a subscription) or, as is our case, integrated into our existing system. This is a sweet addition. It does everything as advertised. The two way talk and the ability to pan and zoom work well for any spot where you might want to let someone know they're being watched. If you have an appropriately sized SD card or existing Annke system it elimnates the need for cloud storage. This makes it a nice option vs some of the competitors "doorbells" where you need to sign up for a subscription. For now we have it in a somewhat weather-protected area so I can't testify to weather resistance but it seems like it would be at least as tough as the existing cameras. So far, we are pleased with this camera.

The camera night vision is among the worst I have experienced. The playback is cumbersome and doesn't allow for checking the recordings without downloading every clip first. This fact by itself is enough to disqualify it . The motion tracking is random and unpredictable. The image quality and color is good daytime and horrendous at night. The ptz control get confused when you zoom in. The camera is well made but this doesn't make up for its shortcomings.

I'm using four units in a A.I. security systems . The units are peerless in the way the spotlight comes on to expose the subject and follow them ! Very intimidating from their point of view. The cloud storage can't be bit.!

Once again Annke has fallen in the manual department. This is a good camera, but they need to supply an adequate manual with it. The instructions are FAR FROM COMPLETE and will leave the customer high and dry. Even following what instruction they provide leaves the camera useless. The only thing that does work is the MYAnnke app for the smart phone. I cannot get the image on either of my 8 channel DVRs or on my other company 16-channel DVR. ANNKE, BEFORE YOU PUT A PRODUCT ONTHE MARKET PLEASE, PLEASE HIRE SOMEONE WHO IS CAPABLE AT WRITTING INSTRUCTION MANUALS IN A CLEAR, CONCISE, AND COMPLETE (English) MANNER. I must, though, thank Maggie for helping with this problem.

The good: video is okay but it doesn't look as good as my 3mp Annke IP cameras, the movement functionality is good and easy to use, listening to audio is okay from your phone.The bad: sending audio to the camera sounds terrible, it's a smart cam so it doesn't play well with many NVRs (where Annkes plain WiFi IP cameras work with everything), the apps for this aren't as good as Annkes other apps, and the signal is not great...Yeah, about the signal... I have multiple WiFi cameras on my property. All Annke. However the others are SINGLE antenna cameras and have better range. So... I kept moving both of the antennas on this camera, 1 at a time, and I found moving 1 of them didn't do a single thing! WEIRD!I unscrewed the plastic antenna and the wire was just hanging there with no collector/antenna on the end.I opened the housing and that dangling wire is just hot glued (?red glue) to the inside of the housing. No connection to the electronics or wireless module on the camera.The other antenna is real and it connects to the wireless module in the camera.So the second antenna in this camera is a FAKE. It doesn't have long range or any better connectivity. If anything it's WORSE. I made a custom biquad for it to fix the range. UGH!!!Just go buy something else...

Ease of use, setup time minimal

Camera won't work with RTSP like their POE models, so it's impossible to use with an NVR. Also required to be online to work, which is no good.Returned & bought a Reolink.

This camera has good image and the app is easy to use.
