So, my welder says it can feed aluminum through the sleeve and comes with a different insert for aluminum. But being a beginner and a hobbyist, I was happy to spend a little extra on this. It's a little different getting used to holding it, but works great! The feed settings on my welder work well with it, and it is so much easier as a beginner than worrying about binding or breaking in the sleeve of the default welder attachment. Would highly recommend!

Bought this so that I can weld aluminum without the hassle of inserting a liner and removing after changing back to steel. I have not used it yet, but it looks like a quality gun.

I'll give it five stars because of yeswelders customer service. The gun works great although i believe mine came missing the piece that applies pressure to the spool so it doesn't free spin inside the gun. I contacted yeswelder through email and after sending them pictures they told me to keep this gun and they will send me a whole new unit free of charge. I will continue to buy yeswelder products after this excellent customer service experience good job guys and girls!

Work great! No instructions included. I had problems removing the nozzle. It supposed to simply pull off, no twisting. I had a lot of issues removing the nozzle. They sent an entire gun because no parts are available when I attempted to remove it with pliers. Sad… I wish the Chinese would make parts and not simply sell the products as a whole. This is one reason to buy USA made products.

Had issues with the standard gun on my yeswelder when welding .035 aluminum. Kept wadding up inside the machine do to the flexibility of the aluminum wire. Connected this spool gun and had no issues from that point on.

Good spool gun to get small projects done. Some plastic parts will wear out after heavy use. The parts can be replaced

easy to take apart and solder a 4 pin connector for a different brand of welder.

I had to grind some plastic away to get it to work, which is pretty minor in the grand scheme of things. I wouldn't use it in an industrial setting because coworkers are very hard on things and this wouldn't stand up. Ended up having to installed a switch in my welder to send power to the spool gun. Its a DC motor so if it spins backwards just swap the motor wires at the plug. Good for home use, don't push it to hard and take care of it like any tool and it will work. Lets face it its 10X cheaper than the stereotypical name brand one so, grinding some plastic and maybe soldering a broken wire isn't the end of the world. I don't regret buying
