I don't have curly hair but my teenage son does. He has been experimenting with different products and methods for washing and maintaining his hair, so I ordered the Esha Girl Natural 3C * 4C Shampoo as well as the Curl Hydrating Conditioner for him to try. The shampoo and conditioner smell great. I checked in with my son over the next several weeks about how the shampoo and conditioner were working out for him. He sheepishly confessed that he stopped using them and told me that he didn't like them. I tried to get a more detailed explanation, but extracting information from a teenager can be nigh impossible sometimes. Only after all that did I actually learn what 3C and 4C curls are. My son's hair is definitely looser than that, so maybe he isn't the target for this product. Still, this appears to be a quality product. I appreciate the clean ingredients and that it has no parabens, sulfates, or alcohol.

If you are of multi race this product may not help your hair. It leaves my hair feeling and looking very dry.

I'm not sure if this was a return that they shipped out instead of destroying, or if it was a manufacturing error, but it arrived completely unsealed inside so I couldn't even use it, which was extremely disappointing because the ingredients look amazing. It also smells heavenly, which is why I'm giving it two stars instead of one.

I have now finished this whole bottle of shampoo and overall I liked it, but I don't think I'd order it again because I am not crazy about the beachy/ocean scent, I prefer mint or fruity scents for my hair care products. This shampoo lathers very well and I was surprised how easy it was to work through my long hair without it getting tangled up, I found it so hydrating that I didn't even use conditioner after it most days. I am definitely not the target customer for this product, I have pretty straight hair with only a little bit of a wave at the ends and my scalp is pretty oily, so I can't say how well it works for curly hair, but it was a little less clarifying than what I normally use. I think this would likely be the perfect shampoo for someone who's hair/scalp is on the drier side.

This hydrating shampoo comes in a 12 oz bottle with a pump top. The bottle contains the ingredients and usage information on the label. It's marketed as working best for curly hair, but I've used products like this on my wavy hair with great results.The shampoo is very thin and creates a soft lather. The lather isn't rich and foamy but isn't flat either. It felt good while I was washing my hair and left my hair feeling clean. The scent is fruity and is strongest when washing but does last after your hair has dried.I air-dry my hair because I struggle with my hair maintaining hydration and I don't want to do anything to add to the dryness. My hair felt fine but it didn't feel any more hydrated than normal. It seemed like I had used products I could purchase at my local department store rather than higher priced items you hope will provide better results.Overall, it's okay. It didn't make my hair feel super soft and hydrated, but it didn't make my hair feel stripped down either. For the price, it's not worth it for me and I won't be ordering again. I'll keep this on hand if my better shampoo runs out, but it's nothing I'm going to reach for unless necessary.

Overall, I love the product but my shampoo came in open. My conditioner also was open and my leave in conditioner was also open.
