I recently purchased the GiGimundo M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure, initially misunderstanding the storage expansion options for my PS5. While I realized that the PS5’s internal storage is permanently soldered and requires an M.2 SSD installed internally for game expansion, this enclosure has proven to be a valuable tool in its own right. Comes with an LED light while data transfer taking place and easy to add the NVME SSD. Very happy and plan to order a second SSD enclosure.

Easy to install the drive. I don't mind the rubber mount - I assume it aids in shock resistance since this is designed for portable use. There is also a heat-transfer pad included. I was really hammering the drive and it stayed well in normal temp range. Good enough for the price.

With this case and a NVME M2 you can forget about portatil and fragile HDD, it works excellent and put device to sleep after 10 minutes if you are not using it. Totally recomended.

I purchased this device in July 2024. Initially, it provided transfer speeds of around 500 MB/s, but lately, the speed has dropped to approximately 40 MB/s. I’ve tested it on both my Dell laptop and desktop, and both devices show the same slow performance. I’ve also tried different ports, but the read/write speeds remain consistently low.At this point, I’m considering discarding this device and purchasing a replacement from a different brand.

Any size M.2 SSD capable USB C storage stick. Take with you storage for files, programs or backups. Quick reinstall/recovery buddy!

What I got years ago, different brand, is much better at the same price I paid for this. This item is mostly plastic. Only the color shell is made of a very thin aluminium. The piece where the card is mounted to is made of plastic and no metal screw provided. Instead they provided rubber bush where you can pop into the hole so the card will seat flat. The metal screw should be provided to ground the card. The rubberlike heat sink and metal fin is above average and may do its job. Overall it is OK and hopefully it doesn't fry my SSD.

Added a 2TB SSD to my laptop.Very easy to assemble and it's working fine.
