Aug 26, 2024 == I've been using those cheap, transparent patches that you get for $9.95. The are nearly impossible to unwrap and place over my G6. It's frustrating. I'm wearing my last G6 monitor, then getting the new G7. Anyway, I bought these colored patches for the G7, hoping that they were better to put on without wasting 2 or three patches. Guess what? They are great. These colored patches are easy to remove protective film without it getting contorted or twisted. Once you remove the sole protective layer, it's read to apply. Here's the best thing. It goes over the transmitter! That in itself makes it so easy to not only apply but it better protects the transmitter. Great patch and will buy more of these.

My niece used these for a week at the beach to cover her Dexcom sensor and they work great! Even when staying in water most of the time these never leaked and her sensor kept working like usual. She highly recommends these!

These are great. I suggest you put them on after you dry off from a shower. Use an alcohol swab to prep area, wait for it to dry then put on the Dexcom then the over-patch. These stay on great. BUT, there’s always a but isn’t there. It’s definitely hard to put on yourself. The way they have the wax paper on them. Definitely easier if someone helps with putting in on.Not long nail friendly.Use an adhesive remover to help remove it. Or alcohol. Or if you wanna be brave, stretch it out and then yank as fast as possible in the opposite direction. Always takes my body hair with it. Second time ordering them. Please make skin tone colors. Or funky designs.

Who says you need to splurge to get quality that sticks? These patches cling to your G7 sensor with the same vigor as their pricier counterparts. My son swam in the waves all day, and the adhesive never budged. He is also a wrestler. Short of someone grabbing the sensor, this product keeps the sensor safe. For best results, preparation is critical. Do not use any lotion, and thoroughly clean the area with alcohol.

I left a review for this product already but apparently it wasn't good enough so it's been deleted. Including the pictures that I uploaded to go with it. So... here goes again.The first one of these particular patches that I used seemed to be great. Stuck better than I expected it to, didn't really make it through my first shower with it though. On to the next patch... This one didn't stick at all. I got frustrated and didn't bother with another one until I started a new sensor. And here's where the problems started. It stuck to my skin so "good" that when the fraying of the edges began and the edges started to peel (just the tiniest bit) my skin started to deteriorate. It hurt so much that within 3 days of having it on I couldn't stand it anymore and I had to have my husband, very carefully, remove it. When he did, the outside edges took skin with it. And the rest was red and irritated pretty bad. It's almost been a week since then and I still have scabs and irritated skin. It feels like a really deep bruise. If you have even the slightest skin sensitivity, DO NOT use these patches. Diabetic skin was definitely not taken into account when this product was designed. Save yourself the trouble. Don't put yourself through the pain or discomfort that these patches will definitely cause you.

Pros: The patches work fine, and I am lucky that the color works for my skin tone.Cons: I find that the design of the protective paper is annoying. There are 4 parts, and there is no graceful way to pull that many pieces of paper off and apply the patch with one hand. Also, the adhesive is a bit too strong for my skin. I have had to be careful when removing the patch so that I do not rip too many layers of skin cells off.

These are SO much better quality than the covers on the Dexcom site AND not nearly as expensive. They come off much easier as well. The only thing I would change is their size - they are bigger than I’m used to. I couldn’t find any like these with any sort of design, but I absolutely do like the solid colors.

I really like these covers. They were not hard to remove like some brands are.
