I had the AEH-AZ60M2 first. Sound and performance was fantastic but kept falling out of my ear which is an ongoing problem. Got these as I thought the advertised 'concha fit' would help. And it did, but I wasn't happy with the sound as I felt that I had to hold them firmly to my ear to get decent bass and even though they didn't fall out, they constantly felt like they were about. So, not happy with with that and for me, this is a lot of money. About to return them and whilst I was researching other buds I thought let me go back to the medium tips and give that a go (I've always tried the smallest tips as they work the best with what I believe to be odd shaped ears.) Gamechanger! Fit is perfect, sound is amazing and with all the features these have, these headphones are perfect and indeed, MAGNIFICENT! As I said, sound and fit is as good as I could hope for. App is easy to use and gives me everything that I need. Touch controls are brilliant, easy and if I was to choose to do so, changeable. Being able to connect to three devices is so convenient as I do actually need that daily when working and it works seamlessly. Ambient sound is great and I can walk around and have conversations with no problem whatsoever and even though I have never tweaked the settings since I set it up, I think it's great that I could if I chose to! I know some of the reviews say ANC isn't as good as some of the other top of the range buds. I work from home so it really isn't an issue for me and if I'm out and about, I wouldn't want to shut the world out. Plus I have nothing to compare this to as I have never owned a set of ANC earbuds. All I can say is it works fine for me and that I have no complaints. Battery life seems fine for me. I have only ever used it for about two hours max so don't know how accurate the 7 hours prediction is. Calls are excellent and nobody that I have spoken to has had any complaints at all and I can hear them fine. I am so glad that I came across these, they have made me fall in live with listening to music again although I do normally listen to podcasts and audiobooks for which these are equally magnificent!

I've sent these back and kept a pair of Nothing Ear. The Technics just aren't as good a package overall and certainly not if relative price is taken into account. If all you are bothered about is just sound quality then they are worth considering, especially since the price dropped by £40 after I bought them, otherwise not. I've done a LOT of comparison between these and Nothing Ear and Bose Quiet Comfort 2 on music, video, at home, on planes and trams. After tweaking (easy to do on the Nothing app) the sound quality is just a little bit worse than the Technics but the app, EQ and noise cancelling are way better on the Nothing Ear. The Technics however sound good without much EQ being applied and they are beautifully made. They sound equally good with music and movies. The app works ok but lacks decent EQ and has a slightly flaky fit test but no hearing test or EQ automation/help. They connect to both my android phone and iPad with no problems. Impressively, they also drop and reconnect easily if you want to take them out and put a different pair in for comparison. The noise cancelling seems to work ok in testing at home but isn't that great on a plane and they are easily outperformed by Nothing Ear and Bose Quiet Comfort 2. The noise cancelling on the Technics is quite subtle in how it operates and whilst you can drown out background plane noise a bit it requires higher volumes than others I've tried and it still doesn't block out some of the plane noise when the Nothing Ears do. Therein lies a big problem for me - the good sound quality is only a benefit when you are in a quiet place because of the ineffective ANC and if I'm in a quiet place I have other equally good sounding earbuds/headphones without ANC that I would use instead.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to share how great these are after two years of use. They sound fantastic. The bass doesn’t hit quite as hard as the top-end Sony models (which I did test when purchasing), but I ended up returning the Sonys because the overall sound quality of the Technics is better—more balanced and fuller across the range. I can comfortably wear them all day at work, easily 7 to 8 hours if not more, the battery life is excellent. They've been used and abused, dropped many times, and still work perfectly. To give a balanced review, the case seems has stopped allowing weak phone chargers to charge it, only fast chargers work. This hasn’t been an issue for me as I have plenty of fast chargers around anyway. They’re not the most secure for exercise or sudden movements—like jogging to catch a train or a closing door. You can feel them gradually working their way out, but it's usually noticeable enough that you can push them back in before they fall. The "Find My Earphone" function is genuinely helpful. I’ve used it many times to locate a lost earbud around the house—it plays a loud, high-pitched tone controlled through the app. Just note that it won’t work once the earpiece battery dies (typically after 24 hours). After two years, the "Find My Case" feature has started to deteriorate a bit—it doesn’t always update the last known location on the google maps view. That could be a phone settings issue though for me personally. Touch controls are great and customisable. I’ve set a single tap to play/pause on both ears instead of just one. No complaints from people I’ve spoken with over the phone either my voice has been clear. Finally, the noise cancelling is one of the best features. It isolates the environment so smoothly that I often wear them without music just to help concentrate at work. The semi-pass-through mode is also useful, it lets me hear people speaking nearby such as co-workers so I am and called I can answer without them throwing something at me to grab my attention. Highly rate these. I’d consider the AZ100s next time, only as they earpieces are lighter which may stay in the ear better during movement, but these are absolutely worth picking up and trying for yourself. I doubt you'll be sending them back.

These sound great and the buds themselves function brilliantly (overly sensitive touch controls aside, but you can disable those). I'd urge anyone to avoid them though because they're absolutely horrendous for not seating in the charging case properly. Every time I take them out and pop them in the case it starts flashing red, which the internet tells me means a 'charging failure' that can be fixed by cleaning them. No amount of cleaning helps. Even in cases where I've put them in at night and everything has seemed fine, I'll leave the house with them in the morning only to find they're dead. Dreadful product.

My huawei freebuds pro 2 which I really liked started having some connection and battery issues after a few months of use. I decided to get the technics AZ80 as I found a great warehouse deal and also read a lot about their call quality, which is extremely important to me. I’ll keep my experience with the buds short and sweet: Pros: Easy set up and super quick multi point connections Its almost instantaneous. Decent seal and a wide range of tips provided. Touch controls work very well. Excellent battery life. Fantastic call quality in a quiet room/ideal conditions. Solid app with plenty of options. Very balanced sound profile out of the box which can be tweaked from the app. Also they definitely sound premium. Good transparency mode. Well built case Cons: Noise cancellation is average considering the amount of money you pay. My huawei freebuds pro 2 were far better and cost 50% less Call quality in a noisy and windy environment is hit and miss. At times people had no problems hearing me and other times I was asked to call them back from a quiet place. I get a weird crackling sound on the transparency mode. Not sure if it’s just my unit. I faced some connection issues on the London Underground. Sometimes sound disconnects when switching between apps. They are quite big and pop out if you have small ears. These would be a great buy at £170 - £180 and definitely not worth paying full price.

I got a pair of the Technics AZ40's cheap with our TV about a year ago. Was extremely impressed with the sound quality and comfort, even though they were only using SBC or AAC. So I decided that I needed a higher level set. Considered the AZ60's but the AZ80's were then released, so I ordered a set of them in black. Fit is excellent. They're not the lightest earbuds, but with the selection of tips they come with, they are exceptionally easy to adjust to fit your own ears. You can also use foam tips from Comply too (TW-400-C's for reference). I really like foam tips for isolation on my other buds, but they do get grotty and then you stick them in the carry case... Maybe not for these. Noise cancelling - There is a test in the app to see how well the noise cancelling works with different ear tips, but that didn't seem to work well for me. Kept recommending the small tip. I actually found with experience the best to the the large and extra large for me. But again, your ears are different to mine so it may work better for you. I generally don't use noise cancelling, but with it being close to christmas, the times I head into town it's very much appreciated. The ability to fine tune the noise cancelling is very useful as well. Sound quality - LDAC is enabled and I have absolutely no complaints playing lossless audio from FLAC files or Prime Music. I'm still playing with the EQ and am slowly tuning in my own preferred EQ settings. But using Direct worked very nicely for me as a start. I wasn't a fan of the Dynamic setting, but a couple of friends really liked it. Also have multipoint enabled so I can have my tablet and my phone connected at the same time using LDAC. Battery life - Haven't had them die on me yet. Worn then for entire days in London, with noise cancelling and LDAC on with no worries. Even a few minutes charging in the case gives them a nice boost in wearing time. Probably charge the case 1-2 times a week at most. With wireless charging too I can just drop them on a pad for a few minutes to give it a quick topup. I am extremely happy with them. Gives me the quality of some of my wired headphones without the cable. Which is nice given that so many phones and tabs are now released without a headphone jack. Yay for progress... They are pretty expensive, but if you can get them for ~£200-220, I'd seriously consider them over all other buds in the category.

I have an iPhone and the Airpods Pro 2, but I wanted to test Technics AZ80 because I have heard so much praise I got curious. Man... I have never even imagined that this sound clarity can be achieved over Bluetooth...! I remember how it felt when I first experienced ANC on the first generation Airpods Pro - it was jaw dropping... And now achieving this level of sound clarity was almost the same impressive effect. I am pretty sure I don't have absolute hearing, but I have learned how to play the piano and the guitar so I have a keen ear for sound quality. This is amazing, and well worth the money. I am not going back to the Airpods Pro series, Technics won me over. (And I used to work for Apple as a SW engineer too, so I should be really an Apple fanboy but it seems I'm not a typical sheep...🙄) For best results I think the app usage is a must, you can achieve the best results if you go over the fine tuning process but honestly it's really well worth it and it's not even time consuming. Treat yourself and your ears! 😊 One sentence about charging: sure you can do wireless charging but if you do cable charging try using a slower charger. I'm using the good old 5W Apple charger because there is a one liner in the manual saying that the case requires a Computer's USB port for charging - and I don't have any computers or laptops. It may not be a problem to use any charger... But it is against the logic and guidance explained in the manual and I want to enjoy the product as long as I can so why not taking a careful approach...? Some said the AZ80 charges slowly - I don't think so. Maybe it did but that changed over the firmware updates released, it is changing pretty quickly in my experience, I mean like 20 minutes max from 40% to 100% in the case while the case was only losing 10% charge! I'm actually quite impressed with it. If you use the AZ80 with an LDAC capable phone like most Samsungs (iPhone doesn't support LDAC!) the clarity is even better, I have tried it with my secondary phone and it's seriously good, however it is already jaw dropping on my iPhone so I chose the daily driver iPhone over the even better clarity on Samsung's LDAC and with Apple Music lossless I have no regrets (plus the buds battery lasts longer if you don't use LDAC). Comfort-wise the AZ80 is once again better than the Airpods Pro, as I can even sleep in them while I could not do that with the Airpods Pro. Some people may find it annoying to take good care of the AZ80 but to me it is part of generic hygiene and I would recommend the habit of doing a proper cleaning of yourself at the ears as well even if this is not highlighted by anyone. You either think the same or you don't even know what I mean so just do it if you have few more seconds every day. 🤷‍♂️ The Technics AZ80 deserves your efforts and deserves your money too, it is hands down the top tier product, this time the reviews were 100% correct and it was not just an empty hype.

Les Technics EAH-AZ80E impressionnent surtout par la qualité audio. Le son est net, détaillé, avec un très bon équilibre entre les basses et les aigus. Rien n’est trop exagéré, ce qui plaira à ceux qui préfèrent une restitution fidèle plutôt qu’un son gonflé artificiellement. Le réducteur de bruit fait bien le travail, même s’il n’est pas au niveau des modèles les plus agressifs du marché. Pour les trajets ou les bureaux bruyants, ça reste largement suffisant. L’isolation passive est aussi très correcte grâce aux embouts bien conçus. Beaucoup d’utilisateurs soulignent le confort, surtout pour les longues sessions. Ils tiennent bien, même en marchant. La connexion multipoint fonctionne sans accroc et l’application Technics permet quelques réglages pratiques sans être compliquée. Côté autonomie, ça tient facilement une journée d’utilisation mixte avec ANC activé. L’étui est compact, bien fini, et inspire confiance. 👉 En résumé, les EAH-AZ80E sont des écouteurs premium qui misent sur la qualité audio et le confort avant tout. Ils ne cherchent pas à impressionner avec des basses artificielles : ils sonnent juste, proprement et de manière très maîtrisée. Une valeur sûre pour ceux qui aiment un son précis sans compromis.

Sonido excelente Con un ecualizador de aplicaciones se escucha ufff super los bajos La conexión Bluetooth también excelente Le pongo 3 estrellas porque la carga inalámbrica aveces funciona y aveces no, otro problema que tengo y que también se presenta en otras marcas, es que uno de los auriculares no carga o están al 100% los dos de batería pero el estuche esta sin batería y no carga, lo que hago es conectarlo y desconectarlo hasta que después de mucho tiempo y con mucha paciencia, empieza a cargar continuamente. Creo que cuando el estuche llega al 50% hay que cargarlo para no Batallar. Por lo que aveces tengo que encenderlos para saber la carga del estuche. Algo molesto para unos auriculares tan caros.

10x mieux que des Bose earudds. A tout point de vue. Tout marche nickel. Qualité du son, qualité de fabrication, qualité et rapidité et simplicité de la connexion bluetooth tout y est. Le top! Reste à tester la longévité mais le produit a vraiment l'air très bien conçu.

Los AZ80 son probablemente el mejor equilibrio actual entre sonido audiófilo, cancelación de ruido y funciones inteligentes. • Sonido: perfil refinado y equilibrado. Graves presentes pero nunca invasivos, medios ricos (las voces brillan) y agudos con detalle sin fatiga. Compiten directamente con los mejores Sennheiser o Sony, pero con un punto extra de limpieza que se nota en jazz, clásica y voces. • ANC y transparencia: el ANC es de los más potentes que he probado, rivalizando con Bose y superando a Sony en consistencia en entornos de viento. El modo transparencia es natural, sin ese toque metálico habitual en otros. • Ergonomía: ajuste muy estable, aunque el cuerpo es algo grande; puede resultar intrusivo en orejas pequeñas. Eso sí, una vez colocados, no se mueven. • App y funciones: la app es clara, con EQ útil y posibilidad de emparejamiento multipunto (hasta tres dispositivos a la vez, diferencial en el mercado). • Autonomía: unas 7h con ANC, notable aunque no líder; el estuche es robusto pero algo voluminoso. Lo mejor: sonido audiófilo en un formato TWS, ANC sobresaliente, multipunto de tres dispositivos. Lo mejorable: tamaño algo grande, estuche menos portátil, precio elevado (aunque coherente con lo que ofrecen). Conclusión: si tu prioridad es disfrutar de música con calidad de estudio en un formato inalámbrico, los AZ80 son de lo más alto que puedes comprar hoy. No son los más compactos ni los más baratos, pero sí de los más completos y satisfactorios para un oyente exigente.
