A good selection of songs for the hits of one

My go-to Cole Porter album.
Ok....this is really a fabulous album of Cole Porter songs, which have NOT been sanitized to suit the censorious tastes of the public at later times in our history. I especially enjoyed the first two songs sung by Cole Porter himself, even though his voice is not nearly as good as most of the other vocalists on the album. In fact, I have several other Cole Porter albums, and this is my go-to favorite. For those of you wondering what I mean by original lyrics, compare the lyrics of Anything Goes on this album to the same song on other albums. You'll see what I mean.

The worst song was "DeLovely!"
This is an excellent CD but I was really disappointed at the terrible arrangement of DeLovely that was included. It had a really fast, almost be-bop beat and was just terrible. However, the excellent arrangements of the other songs more than made up for it.

Style and class.
Cole Porter music reflexs what the 20's,30's and early 40's must have been like. A time for class and style and of course art deco. Great CD,but I would love to find a Cole Porter CD only no voices,just instrumental.

Great Collections
I purchased three different Cole Porter collections. They are all mostly the same songs, but sung by different artists, which gives them different feelings. This one has Cole Porter singing a few songs along with many great old singers. A nice CD.

Some songs are acoustic versions only, which is sad as I think Cole Porters lyrics are so wonderful.Is there a Cole Porter CD with all the Best Songs sung by great musicians?

It's De Lovely-The Authentic Cole Porter Collection
I got chills when I heard this cd for the first time and the thrills did not stop until the last number. It had been years since I had experienced the old masters playing authentic music rather than the many remakes and retakes we have today. Does anyone today use brushes on a snare---fantastic sound. And hearing Lena Horne in her prime--an extra bonus.What a musical treat this is!!!

Lovely, smooth music
Mit dieser CD war ich sehr zufrieden und habe sie gleich weitergegeben an einen Kenner. Es gibt keinen zweiten Cole Porter.
