Advanced Linear Modeling: Statistical Learning and Dependent Data (Springer Texts in Statistics) Paperback – 3 January 2021

Just graduated this summer, and got a job as a statistician, so started reading it after work. It's like a very good companion to all the work you are doing if you work in the traditional statistics career. Maybe not ideal for data science or fancy statistics, but for others, it is a must have!We used the fourth edition of plan answers (PA) as a linear model text for a whole year, and one of the qualifier examination was based on that text. You will find this book easy to understand if you spend enough amount of time on PA.Love the scope of the book, but for a lot of topic it lacks depth. But we all know that this is not an encyclopedia, so I am okay with that. It treats mixed model with great insight, detailed proofs, bit for other topics, this has a good cover, and you can definitely start from here.I don't know how an instructor would use this book, but it definitely is good for self learning. The exercise is reasonable, not extremely hard. I would recommend it if you have spare time after work.
