Like most people, I've had numerous cheap sets of allen keys. I thought it was finally time to get a decent, well engineered set, and Wera seem to be universally well regarded. It seems that reputation is well deserved. These are beautifully made, a good size, and even the clip they come in, is well made, (and has a useful locking mechanism) and should stand the test of time. I should have bought these years ago!

I tried the plastic coated set first, but they had to be returned as the plastic coating added too much thickness to the keys when needed in tight or deep locations. Some older gas valve for example. But this set is perfectly sized and has no extra thickness to hinder performance. Perfect.

I tend to use the smaller sizes mostly. When attempting to remove cylinder head screws from a model aircraft engine, the standard-issue Allen keys I had previously used simply would not grip and I was faced with the problem of how to extract them. The Wera keys were the easy solution: they fitted noticeably tighter and the screws wound out, no drama. More than paid for themselves on the first time of usage.

Wera hex plus are the best Allen keys for quality and use. Always well made, these have a smaller block due to being a reduced amount of keys compared to the 10 key set. The hex plus design is great for minimizing rounding off of fasteners.

Buy this and you won't regret. You will be amazed by the quality Wera has made it. I had a 1.5mm hex screw which could not be unscrewed using a cheaper brand. But for this product, it was effortless. Once snapped on the screw it WILL undo it.

I use these Allen keys everyday in my job. Used to think that the curved flats on Wera keys were a gimmick but these will loosen the tightest screws that other keys would slip or round the screw hex.Definitely worth the higher price.

I decided rather than more tools I wanted to have better, well organized tools, that I enjoy using. You can't beat Wera. These tools have good bite and a decent holder. I have many, many tools, but I always reach for my Wera tools first.

Das 7er-Set ist die handliche Zusammenstellung für den Alltagsgebrauch. Da braucht man die großen Größen selten oder nie. Da beim Werkzeugkauf – wie auch bei vielen anderen Dingen – die Qualität entscheidend ist, kann man mit WERA-Produkten nichts falsch machen. Ich bin von ihnen seit Jahren vollkommen überzeugt.
