Such a fun game! I bought this for my 9yr old and we have had so much fun playing this game. Great for a gift!

Great game, lots of fun, lots of belly laughs

This is one of the few games in my collection that really appeals to the small kids and the grandparents all at once! The premise of the game is of visual perception. After spinning, you have to pick a small, medium-sized, or large gorilla (or make a mad dash for the coconut or bananas). With small kids, it's great practice comparing large numbers to determine which gorilla is better (and also not intimidating or problematic if they can't figure it out on their own). On top of all that, it's just a lot of fun! Occasionally you have to shot out a silly word and everyone shares lots of giggles. You can't go wrong! Easy to learn and lots of fun.

The phrases and actions had us in stitches — flying bananas, goofy moves, and nonstop chaos. It’s just as easy to pick up as its predecessor, but with fresh mechanics that make it stand out. Quick rounds mean no one gets bored, and it’s one of those games where even the spectators are laughing. A great addition if you already love fast-paced, ridiculous card games.

Fun game for all ages. We can play this even with our 5 year old with a little adjustment in rules

I love bringing this game to game nights as well as giving it out for gifts. It is really easy to learn and teach. I like that there is not really a strategy but it is a lot of fun. I demoed this at Gencon and it is perfect for family game night with small kids. The gorillas are actually on a scale by pixel so you can see the big ones from the small ones. Overall it is a fun game to have. I recommend it for people starting out on board games as well as game nights for little kids.

800 pound gorilla is a fun, fast paced, game that doesn’t require intense strategy. Perfect for kids or teens or really anyone. It’s definitely not a travel game because of all the different pieces, but a great tabletop or carpet game. I thought the pieces were going to be cheap and low quality but they’re surprisingly good. 10/10 would recommend for kids!
