Markwort Patented Deluxe Wide Model Stadium Chair

If you are tired of cold, wet, and hard bleachers and want some back support than you will want one of these high quality stadium chairs. Trust me you will love it! As the weather is getting colder in Pittsburgh, I'm glad I'm now ready for high school playoff football. If you are smaller in size, the regular sized chair should work fine too. I saw a couple people at last week's game with the regular sized chair and it seemed to work for them. However, being 6'4", 235 lbs. I purchased the extra-wide chair...I feel it was well worth the extra $$$. It also gives you a little more elbow room with the people around you. Get to the game a little early, just go place your seat on the bleachers where you want to sit and go get something to eat...your seat is saved! There is a front clamp that can be used to secure the seat to the bleacher if you want to use it. I found the chair to be secure enough since it doesn't slide or move that I don't even use it. This chair is built very solid and is very comfortable. I've read a few people say it's heavy...it's really not too heavy. It does has some weight to it because it's build solid...I'd say that is a fair trade off. There is a handle to carry the folded chair. Please note that you MUST remember to take two small medal screws that come in a small clear plastic baggie that's attached to the chair and screw them through the fabric on the back fabric portion of the seat. After you slip the back fabric cover over the two metal back supports (its a tight fit but the fabric backing does slide on) you take the two screws and screw them into the holes near the bottom of each metal back support. You can feel where the holes are through the fabric. I used a regular screw driver and had the screws in place in about 10 seconds each. There are absolutely no instructions enclosed. Why I don't know?...really stupid! I bet a lot of people don't even know what the little bag with screws are for. You want to use these screws to secure the fabric to the back of the seat's metal support posts. I was a little nervous screwing the metal screw through the fabric hoping it wouldn't tear or something, but it didn't. I read where some people lost the back fabric because it fell off while they were carrying the chair to and from the stadium because they didn't secure it with the two screws and it slipped off without them knowing. I think its dumb that the manufacture doesn't have the fabric backing already permanently attached to the seat already. That is my only minor complaint. Besides that, it's by far the best stadium chair I've ever sat on...and I have been to hundreds of football, baseball, and basketball games and have used numerous types of seats. Some stadium chairs I owned were too deep and they crammed the people sitting behind you. With this chair, it doesn't take any more room than the bleacher itself. Most major college or pro stadiums will not allow you to take this seat (or any other seat) into the game. This is best used for small college down to pee wee league games. Just beware, your family and friends are going to want to sit in your new seat! This would be a great birthday or xmas gift for a sports fan who attends games.

My husband and I just returned from four wonderful days at the 150th anniversary reenactment of the Battle of Gettysburg, four days which involved long hours of sitting on bleachers. Our Markwort Stadium chairs made all the difference. For the first battle we viewed, we decided we'd only be there an hour before we had to leave so decided we didn't need the seats. Wrong! After an hour of bleacher seating my back was killing me. I was constantly shifting position trying to change pressure points and I had learned my lesson. From then on we brought our seats to every viewing. Yes, they were a little heavy, but not terribly so. Unless you are walking long distances, I don't see the weight of the seat being an issue and, when folded, the seat has a nice padded gripping area on the frame.The seat has a hook which folds out to hook under the bleacher seat so you don't need to worry about the seat flipping backward. Best of all, these seats are sooooooo comfortable. They are well constructed and they made our hours seated on bleachers quite tolerable. I would have been miserable without these seats. With the arrival of three grandchildren this year, I see many afternoons watching tee ball and soccer games from bleacher seats in our future. The seats are very well constructed and I know we will be getting years of use out of them. My husband is a large guy (6'6" tall, 250 lbs.), so we bought the extra width seat for him. It was nice to have that option.

I have two kids that both play year-round basketball. These seats are a life saver! Bleachers are unforgiving on your backside, especially when you sit through 2-3 games in a row. I would not bother with the regular size seats. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra for the deluxe model. It's great for saving your seat when you make a trip to the concession stand or restroom, and provides much needed back support. Quality is great as its good and sturdy. It doesn't try to tip over or fall backward.My only complaint with this product is the back canvas material. If you carry it by its handle, the canvas has a bad habit of sliding down - and sometimes off. It seems as thought Markwort could have put a few extra stitches in it or something to prevent this from happening. It still saves my bottom from going numb, so I guess I can deal with it.I liked these so much, I bought them as Christmas gifts for my parents and my in laws so they can watch their grandchildren play in a little more comfort. The in laws are very heavy-set and they are pleased with these seats as well.I would recommend this product to any sports family!

Anyone who has ever been to a sporting event that includes sitting for hours on those cold, uncomfortable bleachers knows that after just a few hours your back is uncomfortable, you bottom is frozen (in the winter) and all you want to do is lean back and use the guys knees behind you to relax against. Here are a few key points to know about this chair:(1) the frame is made of metal and it is heavier then other stadium chairs(2) the chair does hook to the bleachers so if you lean back you won't slide the seat off the bleacher(3) the mesh seat is actually raised above the cold metal so no padding is needed(4) the extra wide seat makes it very comfortable and gives you extra space so your neighbor isn't packed next to youOur experience with this seat has been all good. I will be purchasing two more for my parents to use (both who have bad backs yet found this seat to be comfortable.Overall a good product that I would recommend for your next trip to the bleachers.

Very well built and comfortable. I am a large person and this unit fits me well. I added padding to the carry bar and a carry shoulder strap. should do fine.
