Another great book from a great author love the railers characters and world

MM, YA, Enemies to Boyfriends, Hockey, High School, Contemporary, Romance. Easy to read page-turner with great characters, first book in the series but is a spin off from another hockey series but can read as a standalone. Angsty, drama, personal growth, hidden feelings, coming out, a great read with lots going on...a happy ending.

BUT GOOD! A lovely story developing the lives of young love. The adopted children of well established hockey characters star in a coming love story.

A funny, tender, and ultimately joyous story. A sweet YA romance from the Ms' Locey and Scott, with just a bit of an edge. As adorable as the MCs are, not all is sweetness and light. A spin off from the Harrisburg Railers hockey books (love that series❤️), in this case Ten and Jared's son, Soren, starts to look at his enemy with different eyes. Soren is popular, and Felix is not, he's a rich, unpleasant, and entitled bully . After years of watching his parents’ marriage fail, he uses his fists to fight his emotions, and keeps everyone at a strict distance. Felix really is a thorn in Soren's side; but when it turns out Felix is nothing like he imagined, Soren starts to catch 'feelings.'"He (Felix ) was so pretty to look at, especially when his bright eyes sparkled with creativity. His sight flicked from his tablet to me when I didn’t reply. The moment his gaze met mine that strange wobbly sensation erupted in my lower stomach. And it was not gas from Grandma’s taco bake supreme that we’d had for dinner. He moved to his side, his gaze never leaving mine, rolling closer until our noses were less than an inch apart. I stared into his eyes, loving all the different shades of sapphire, turquoise, and sunflower...." If you love a brooding, ( but not really), bad boy, romance, with undeniable sexual tension, then you’ll love this emotion-packed story. It's all about looking beyond appearances, and that love really can conquer all. There are a number of social issues mentioned, but they're introduced in such a way , that they allow some reflection without taking anything away from the romance. Ten, Jared and Ryker are there, mostly for comic relief. The whole thing really is so uplifting, and left me with a smile on my faceI received an ARC of this story, which in no way influenced my opinion.

It's been awhile since I read a NA book but as soon as I knew Soren, Ten & Jared's adopted son from the Railers series, was getting his own book I couldn't resist.Ten & Jared are one of my favourite MM couples so I really wanted to see more of them as parents. And to see what happened next with Soren, when we met him in Perfect Gifts he was a bit of a troubled young man after a really difficult childhood. Through Off the Ice he has some trust and abandonment issues but I really liked that that wasn't the focus of the book and his main problem was fancying the most obnoxious boy in his school. Oh my heart absolutely broke for Felix, the boy in question. At the start of the book he is not a nice person but we soon discover he's got his own baggage. It was hard to see how as a character he was going to be redeemed but RJ, Vicki and of course Soren weaved their magic.A great start to the series and one I will definitely continue with.

Sorry it not as good as some others i had, So only 1 Star.

I really enjoyed this novel and the challenges both Soren and Felix have to overcome on their journey to being their authentic selves. I hope it finds its way to many classrooms and school libraries as queer teen fiction is sorely needed there.

Felix was a bit rough around the edges for the first half of this story but it was great to see him come around. It’s was delightful to see the Madden-Rowe family again and to see how Soren and his siblings were settling in as family. The grandparents in this were simply the best. Interested to see where this series takes us next.

I'm not into YA books but who can resist after seeing such a cute cover?! Not me!!! I ended up enjoying the book! And of course I'll be reading Tyler and Jonah's story as soon as it comes out! ❤️

Such a beautiful story, with a wonderful supporting cast in this coming of age, enemies to first loves. A definite must read.

I loved this book, I wish it would have been a bit longer. Some of the story felt rushed and not everything felt complete to me. I loved the writing and characters
