Great for cat grass
I purchased mainly for growing cat grass. I sprinkle the seeds on the mesh and then fill the base to cover them for soaking. Drain, spray to rinse and then put water in the base to maintain humidity. The lid vent is easy to close, and the unit is small enough that a kitchen towel will cover it for germination. When grass is about 1” tall, I move it to a brighter location and open the vent. The lid prevents cat access until I’m ready. I gently spray the roots when replacing the water. My cats have always pulled the grass out of the pots, so I appreciate the soil-free option. With 4 units, I can keep staggered crops growing, and the parts are easy to sanitize. My 16yo loves it.

Easy Peasy to grow delicious and nutritious bean sprouts.
These work great for bean sprouts. The sprouts were watered daily and dumped the previous days water. I kept them covered with towel until sprouts almost touched the top of cover (5-6 days). I left towel cover off for the last day to allow them to green a bit before harvesting. Cut the roots from below and wash. I refrigerate mine in a vented container for up to a week. One container is sufficient for 2-3 people, so you can cycle your harvests. In winter start sprouts in kitchen along interior wall where it should be warm enough to germinate seeds.

Great product
I have bought both the larger hole and the smaller hole microgreen growers, and like them both. I prefer the clear bottom (of the small hole version), but find the larger holes make it easier for the sprouts to get to the water. The colors are bright and pleasant and the humidity adjustment is also useful. If there were a clear bottom option with the large holes, I would probably give it a 5 star. They are sturdy and easy to use. I plan to seed them and share as gifts at Easter. Would also recommend making a set with two large hole and 2 small hole growers.

Easy growing
Easy to handle, and pretty. I made pea shoots, which can be harvested twice, and bean sprouts. The bean sprouts could be easier to soak, but it works for trimming the roots quickly and easily. Other salad sprouts would work fine, just cut the amount needed and save the rest. This needs someplace with light to grow well.

Love these sprouting trays, they work great! I used window screening to cover holes.
I wanted something smaller, since there is only me. Also wanted taller so that I wouldn't be spilling water while carrying them to kitchen. The seeds sprout and grow faster with a lid. It only takes 2 or 3 days for them to be edible size. I tried paper towels and hemp squares and didn't like either of them. Then it occurred to me to try window screen. I had some on hand and cut it to size. It keeps the seeds from falling through. They grow really great. The sprouts are easy to pull out of the screen. Rinse off screen and replant. I just pulled my first crop with the window screen and I used way too many seeds (I think 1T), because every one of them grew. I'll see if my neighbor would like some. I only used 2t in next batch, but I think I'll need to cut back to 1t. I wanted to have just enough to have a new batch ready every day. I'm growing Salad Sprouts, Superfood Microgreen Mix and Sulforaphane Mix. Love these sprouting trays!

Love these!
I love these! They look very durable and easy to use, and they're just the right size for two people. I like the fact that there are 4 in a pack, because I can do more at a time if I want, or stagger the plantings so that I will always have something growing! I also appreciate the humidity domes that can be opened or closed, and the opaque bottoms that keep the roots from light. Thank you for a quality product!

Great size to work with!
The three pieces fit together nicely. Generous size for sprouting seeds. Tall enough for the sprouts as they get taller.
