This little pup is pretty cute. It allows you to listen to music, or even record your own voice -- which is something my daughter loves to do on her ipad, so I love that I can get her into toys that do it. It plays and dances when the music is on.It's a nice toy for the 3-5 age range, and it's really easy to clean, so a win for mom!

My granddaughter loves to jam out with dog. Easy to carry around and I love the recording feature!

The VTech Barks & Beats dog is pretty basic. You can play the prerecorded music and/or record your own voice with it. The head bobs and dances as the music plays. It is pretty basic, but keeps my 2 year old entertained for a while. I wouldn't say 3-8 is a great age range- I can't see a 7-8 year because fascinated with this; but it is definitely great for younger kids who enjoy music.

This toy is really cute. It barks and dances to music you’re playing. If you have more than 1 of this toy, they sync up and dance together. It works great. I do wish it had more features because my daughter did get bored of it after awhile, she is 2 years old.

This little puppy is cute, she is purple, her eyes light up and her head sways back and forth. My kids (5 & 6) really liked this toy at first, but after the novelty wore off after a day, it’s just kind of meh to them. They’ll pick it up and play with it for a few mins but quickly forget about it again and start playing with other toys they have. The idea is cute and being able to add your own voice to the beatbox is fun but it auto tunes your voice to sound like a chipmunk and it’s hard to discern what is being said. Also, the length you can record is super short, so you have to get the timing just right and be quick to say something. I’m glad I got this free to review or I would be returning it because the play factor just isn’t there for us. I’m sure some kids may get better usage from it.

Such a cute little toy for my 2 year old daughter. VTech is one of our favorite toy brands and this toy did not disappoint! It's small, so it doesn't take up much space in her room and it isn't super annoying like other noisy toys out there. The puppy bobs its head to music in the background and you can create your own music on it. My 2 year old has not figured out that part just yet. The eyes light up as various colors and overall it's been a nice little toy for my toddler to stay entertained. If you bring it along on car rides and blast some music it will bob its head to the music - so cute for the little ones! I do wish there was an ability for it to play its own music but that's not a dealbreaker. It's an affordable price and keeps my toddler engaged and entertained for a long time, so a win for us!

My toddler loves this beat boxing dog. It is less annoying than some of her other toys because it doesn’t speak it just beat boxes. She like light up toys that move and make sounds and this does just that. Less annoying is better than more annoying so A+ for this toy in my book. I don’t think I could handle two but if she tires of one I may add a second dog to the pack as they connect and beat box battle each other, which could be cool.

Cute toy and my five year old had fun with it for two days. She hasn’t played with it since. I think this toy is better suited for 2-4 year olds. It just doesn’t do enough to keep her entertained.
