Elmer's Foam Board Multi-Pack, 18 x 24 Inches, 3/16 Inch Thickness, Black, 2 Pack

these are some terrific boards with a multitude of uses for the photographer, the arts 'n craftser, the handyman, etc. it is great for mounting for a table top display or presentation, a collage, or even for insulating and cleaning up around a window air conditioner with dark brown(almost black) window trim... it insulates well and really cleaned the appearance up quit nicely. but, for our purposes, we used them for an art project; we wanted a flat black background for a small, original, detailed color print, without using a mat (as we did not want to lose any edges and celebrate the piece in it's entirety). wei first cut it down to fit the following 8x10 frame, which is a faux finish frame from Craig Frames, but one of the best i have ever seen... unless you touch it, it looks like a real, distressed, walnut wood frame; Craig Frames FM26WA0810C 1.26-Inch Wide Picture/Poster Frame in Smooth Grain Finish, 8 by 10-Inch, Dark Brown i then used an Elmer's spray adhesive to mount the print to the board; Elmers Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive, 4-Ounce, Clear ... the adhesive was easy to manage an even adhesion, without saturating and deforming the print. we are very pleased with the results (a couple example pics below) Thank you. :-)

These are great foam boards! I use them for my artwork and they work perfectly! The color is also a true black which is great and works for using paint sticks or markers on top. The boards are also very sturdy and do not bend easily, which is perfect for artwork purposes! Overall, for the prince, these are great and do not disappoint!

I bought these to use as a framing supply for Mill Hill cross stitch projects. You simply trace the back opening onto the board and cut it with a craft knife a TINY bit larger than the opening. Pop your stitching into the wood Mill Hill frame and push this foam board into the frame behind your work and VOILA! It’s sturdy enough to hold your stitched work tightly in the frame and I guess it can easily enough be pried out and pushed back in again IF you need to adjust your stitching in the frame a bit! Great value.

Used these as a backing for sticking pictures on and instructions for a game during a party we threw. They were very lightweight but sturdy to get the job done. They arrived in good condition - not perfect. The boards are shrink wrapped and during the process it bends the corner tips of the board slightly. It was not enough to ruin them but they could cause creases in the corners. I used velcro to stick them to the wall and only had a small layer peel off when removing the adhesive which will allow me to reuse these in the future. They are expensive though...you can go to to your local dollar store or party store and get them for much cheaper. The quality however for this item will be far better. So your pick on what you want to do and how you will use them. What I would love to see - not sure how it would be implemented but to have a small detachable wedge to place behind the board so that it can stand up by itself on a table or flat surface. I know you can prop this up with something but if it had a feature like this it make this even better.

So, we ordered these as part of a project for 4h. The size was perfect, the sturdiness was exactly what I would expect ( no surprise thin board). However we had a heck of a time keeping things stuck to it. We usually use spray adhesive or even rubber cement for putting pictures onto the board. Now I am not sure if it was the board, or if it was the pictures were on a funny material that made it difficult to get adhesives to work. But just think about having several adhesive types on hand, just in case.

Considering the less than thrilled reviews which warned of smushed edges, I hesitated to buy this. But the trick, it seems, is to order it *along with other items* so they all ship together in the same big box. At checkout, it was clear that all my items were set to ship together (arriving on the same day in the same box) so I took the chance. But I can definitely see why these would damage easily if ordered solo. Easy work around. As you can see, no dents. I'm more than satisfied. Who needs a trip to Staples? Not me.

Some of the panels were unstuck from the foam core. I glued them back down, though, and it worked fine. Great for mounting photos--I glued them to the foam board, did a coat over with mod podge, then cut down to size using an xacto knife, and mounted them to the wall using poster mounts. Nice solution to decorating a wall that I can't put nails into.

Came completely trashed. The corner is missing and the box was totally fine. Wth? It's not what i was looking for but was going to use it for something else and i cant even get a nice edge. Sigh....

Exactly what I was looking for. My wife’s fabric art found a new display solution.

True foam board sheets as advertised. It worked out well for my project.

Bought two packs taking account of the other reviewers' experiences of damaged sheets. I'm glad I did - in both packs, out of the 4 in the bundle the two which were on the outside of the package came with damaged corners, moreover, all the pieces in one of the packs came with slight markings. Luckily I could work around all the flaws and damages but quite disappointing considering the brand.
