Freakin' awesome. Sturdy, powerful, extremely efficient. Easy to use, clean and adjust. Quiet. Finished product is outstanding. Not a mangled mess, nor shredded as though torn by hand. Makes light work of dough preparations. This machine just WORKS. It is large which may make hidden kitchen storage difficult for some but I'm managing nicely. I've had the economy machine in the past and put up with the ineffectiveness, hence a lot of hand work for me. But, this unit is as advertised. If you have a genuine use for a food processor, this is your money well spent.

LOVE this food processor. I had purchased a Cuisinart food processor and it had so many “safety” features that it was cumbersome to use. I returned it and purchased this one and I’m so glad I did. This one is easy to use and easy to clean. I love it. I love the adjustable blade. ♥️

I have used food processors since the mid 1980s. I have gone through 5... maybe 6 of them? This is definitely a huge step up; lot of money for a kitchen tool, but wow.: what a performance. The bowl is larger than my previous one which is great - perfect for soups, batter, and sausage emulsions. And so easy to clean! The chopping blade is super-efficient: did garlic and jalapenos last night, and I ever never seen a machine chop so evenly. The slicing blade has an adjustable knob so you can vary thicknesses... AWESOMNESS! And it works great! I have not yet tried the grater. Oh and also: the machine is so much more quiet than any machine I have owned before! I would very highly recommend it. The base is heavy - such a powerful motor - but that is OK as I leave it permanently on my kitchen counter.

After about 45 years of use, I decided it was time to retire my OG metal base Cuisinart CFP-5. Searching for "food processor with direct drive," I came across this gem and ordered it. The Sous Chef 12 appears to have gotten a lot of feedback from users and I suspect it went through a lot of testing and iterations before Breville releases it. This machine has (so far) solved for me every problem I had with the old standby. The bowl is made of a thicker plastic that has the feel of being hard to crack or otherwise damage. The bottom of the bowl has a sealed center bearing, so no leakage if you fill the bowl more than halfway. Three different sizes of pushers and pusher openings to handle small or large vegetables. A holder for the sharp blade so you don't cut yourself in the drawer. Properly sized plastic blade, which I rarely use but still. A well-engineered grating, shredding, and slicing blade that can be adjusted for slice thickness or thinness. And as quiet as my OG because it's direct-drive (no internal gears to amp up the noise level). Safety interlocks and labels on everything are well-engineered and don't interfere with use. If this machine won't do what you want it to when you want it to, it's probably because you're risking cutting off a finger or something. One shortcoming, though, is a very short cord, designed for a countertop with an outlet close at hand. I had to add a 2-foot extension cord to reach over the edge and down to the outlet on our prep island. Finally, this 12-cup bowl size is substantially bigger than my OG. I don't think I'd want it bigger unless I was cutting up huge quantities of something to cook for a big crowd. Recommended without reservation.

Bonne qualité, très puissant mais bruyant ! Mais c'est pas important en autant qu'il fonctionne bien et qu'il me dure longtemps !
