Perfect for my mosaic projects

These markers are of natural slate and so vary in thickness and have a few chips (insignificant) here and there as slate is a layered stone. Would be nice if the S v M had something meaningful attached. I have 3 sets of the M. They measure just shy of 8” tall and are 1 1/16” wide. The thickest of them are 1/4”. There is a piece of chalk in its own little box and bundled with the slates. The chalk and little cord make these suitable for gift giving. The bundle was wrapped in bubble wrap and it is all in a neat brown box with a labeled band. I cannot speak to durability since they are not yet in use. Of course, chalk will wash off in the rain, so these are due to be painted this winter for use in the coming years. I have had some slate labels for more than a dozen years, and they were my mom’s before that. I hope these have the same staying power. Those are intact and the paint looks like new. The trick is not to drop them. Fingers crossed.

Packaging could use some work. The box arrived in a shipping bag which helped protect the stakes from breaking. But ultimately the stakes are too heavy to be properly seeled in the box they came in because when I lifted the box out of the bag it was empty and the top was torn clean off. I was worried that the stakes, sitting in the bottom of the bag, would be damaged but they were not. I highly recommend taping the top and bottom of the box with packing tape instead of the little piece of circle tape to prevent this from happening again.It comes with a pice of regular chalk which is great but I opted to use liquid chalk markers as they last longer and are a bit harder to wash off. Overall they are a great size, easy to use, and I will be getting more in the future. Best part about these is that they are stone so I know they will hold up and last a very long time

I was looking for a plant label stake that would: blend with the garden but still be visible, have a natural look, and the writing would not disappear over time. Completely fits the bill.Did buy oil based white Sharpie pens rather than use the chalk. Worked perfectly.Some reviews mentioned that some stakes were broken. Mine were all intact and securely packaged.Bought more to label even more!

Love these labels because they are sturdy and don't bend or get in the way when gardening, weeding, cleaning up. I do use a label machine to print labels to attach to these and they last for years through all kinds of weather.

If giving these as a gift, simply wrap the box it comes in. Even the box is of very high quality and presents nicely.

I ordered the small sized, slate garden markers. They were all sized the same and in perfect condition. I used a white, oil based, permanent paint pen to identify each herb. I love the natural look of these and would recommend them.

One of the shale plant markers was broken, the box beat up, and the chalk in pieces. There was no protective packaging, just these easily breakable items in a small cardboard box and placed in a plastic bag. They should’ve been bubble wrapped. I don’t care about the chalk, as I will use something else for writing, but someone else might. I will try glueing the pieces together of the plant marker, but feel that better packaging was definitely in order. 3 stars because I love these for garden use.

De belles étiquettes en ardoise pour le jardin. Elles sont solides et elles rendent très bien. Penser à acheter un marqueur blanc indélébile en plus, car la craie s'efface rapidement.

Great for laser engraving. Oil them first and let dry. Seal them with simple lacquer and they are also great to paint with acrylic pens.

Really nice, good size to fit wording on and sturdy.
