I cant move the mouth piece to tune it. Has anyone else managed it?

I have never tried but believe you can do so by pouring cooking oil into the mouthpiece. Or, better, leaving it immersed in oil overnight. You can also try dipping it in hot, not boiling, water. You might be better buying a Tony Dixon trad brass in D which is made to be tuneable. Also Amazon sell crazily cheap but excellent plastic whistles ( sometimes under the brand recorder workshop) which have a very tuneable mouthpiece - it’s actually on a screw-thread. Mine cost about £5.50 inc postage! JimCampbell

Please would someone be able to tell me the O.D measurement of the brass body of this whistle? Thank you kindly !

Gave the whistles away to grand children so not sure mow but not big - say around 12/14 mm ? Perhaps the same question to supplier would be a better way
