The counter-sunk female end pulled out of the top portion of the stand way before it was ever sitting close to flush with the top of the stem. Ended up leaving that out and securing with No More Nails instead. It looks nice, but the wood is extremely soft, and I'm not confident about its durability at all.

I added some artificial moss to mine. I'm infatuated with it. It makes me feel like I'm on a y2k movie. The ones set in a cool down town apartment of some weird, wild, it-girl. Wouldn't recommend to extreme minimalists. Doesn't; wobble and hasn't fallen over yet. Lighter than anticipated. Sometimes the little things can bring you joy.Hope that helps x

using it to do a potpourri center piece with battery candle in the center for my kitchen table, just the right size and height for smaller table , wood could have been a little more distressed with a lighter color but I do like it a lot

Beautiful and well crafted. Quite light weight but who cares when it looks like this! Absolutely recommend for a farmhouse look!
