Pretty much all security bars have regularly spaced notches you can extend the length to. This means you can't dial in an exact width and usually have to go a bit over, and put the bar in slightly diagonally. But this bar is really great because one end is a threaded bolt you can adjust to the exact length you need and then tighten a nut to get it just right. It has the notches like other bars, but once you are near to your desired width you can dial it in easily with the bolt and nut. Build quality is good and it feels quite solid. It also has a pin you can insert behind the main notch adjustment pin, which keeps the bar fully extended even if that first pin is somehow pressed down or fails. Whoever designed this thing knew what they were doing. If you have had issues with security bars that never fit right, or dropped out of place, etc., you want this one so you can get that fine adjustment going.

Does exactly what I needed it for.

Great find. Very strong but not heavy to carry or to place with one hand. Easy to install and great that has different sizes to fit to the space needed. Has plastic cups at the end to help with smooth insert and not scratch the surface of the door. Great for securing the sliding door. Good price too.

Solid product. Pun intended. Jokes aside, it serves its purpose well and comes with extensions with snug coupling to fit varying sizes. But the reason I bought a second one? Well extra security, and it makes for a pretty good bat.

Great for securing the door. Holds in place well with multiple extension length options. But my kids have learned to take it down. They are flight risks but other than that no complaints.
